Does anyone know of a national Pizza place that sells a whole wheat pizza?

What about a place that sells whole wheat pizza dough?

It's too early on the west coast to call places, so I'm asking all you pizza eaters.

Whole wheat Pizza -> CPK

California Pizza Kitchen's have a whole wheat dough option. If there isn't a CPK near you, you're missing it.

I didn't think of CPK.. Thanks.. I'm in Vegas, so we have a few of them.

I've jumped on the South Beach Diet bandwagon, and the only thing I miss is pizza.. I don't miss the 35lbs I've lost!

I second that pizza stone idea.

they work great. fresh out of your own oven.

:D :D

California Pizza Kitchens

We went to one the other night. It had whole-wheat pizza on the menu.

The Key Lime Pie is delish.

congrats on the 35 pounds!

for those not in the know, can you sum up the south beach thing in a sentence or two? ...just curious

The South Beach diet is a low carb, low saturated fat diet that is based around staying away from processed foods.

The Dr. who wrote it says that the key to a healthy heart and weight loss is eating the foods that allow the proper amounts of insulin to be produced.

Carbs are fine and fat is fine as long as it's the right types of carbs and fats.

Not only have I lost weight, but my BP is amazing, my HDL, LDL, and total Cholesterol is great!

My dad who is a type 2 diabetic started the diet the same day I did and his blood sugar has never been better. He should be off all meds soon!

congrats, i've dropped about 40+lbs doing atkins, seems to work for some people, it did for me

A diet that says stay away from processed foods, saturated fats and concentrate on fruits, vegs, and lean protien???

amazing isn't it.

better rush out and buy the book!

Most fruits are not good on the South Beach Diet. You can eat some, but the sugar content causes the pancreas to produce too much insulin, which in-turn causes the food you eat to turn into fat for storage.. or so he says

better rush out and buy the book!

You can be as sarcastic as you want, but the fact is that not everything is cut and dry. It's not just about eating certain foods.
Laugh all you want but people are losing weight and becoming heart healthly because of these books.

Chperplt, how was your BP before started the diet? My Bp is a touch high, enough so that I may need some meds. I need to lose a couple of pounds too and I'm considering South Beach.

Thanks.

c'mon I was just joking...

but really, people are not becoming heart healthy from buying a book - they are getting heart healthy by eating better and becoming more active!

sounds like its working great - thats good!!

I just laugh at the diets that say eat bacon, cheese, and steaks all you want but stay FAR AWAY from an apple...

gotta love it!

:D

You're right, books aren't getting people heart healthy. What they are doing, is explaining in simple to understand english why the American Heart Associations long time running simple low fat diet doesn't work.

It's not as simple as burning more calories than you take in.
