My 2024 NXCub came pre-wired from CubCrafters with a pigtail connector for a battery tender. Incidentally, I use an Optimate Lithium TM275 which works great. Additionally, I’ve purchased a powerful Lokithor LiFePO4 J2250 jump starter pack. The jump starter did not come with an adapter to connect directly to the battery tender connection. Does anyone know any reason why I shouldn’t be able to connect the jump pack directly to this pigtail connector? Seems to me that it should work. If I never need to jump the plane, it would be WAY more convenient to simply connect to the pigtail than remove the avionics bay panel and connect with the big clamps. Appreciate your feedback.

Hmmm, I'm not sure and this one is probably best for Pete to answer. I have two pigtails connected to my starter battery. One is for the Optimate charger, the other the NOCO GB40 jump pack. The pigtail for the jump pack needs to support the volts it can push which can be very different from the volts/amp of a trickle charger, I assume.

Just spoke to tech support at Lokithor, and was told that a standard gauge battery tender connector WOULD NOT be sufficient for a boost. They gave me some guidance on making a properly sized connector using 6 gauge wire.

I missed this thread but agree the charger pigtail would likely not be adequate for starter current.

I have 2 pigtails connected. One for the charger and one for the jump pack.
