We've all been there..... in the aircraft and starving only to get to the destination and our emense hunger turns to nuasea when we see the food court or the only available restuarante.

Which airport has the worst food, or sanitary conditions?

Which has the best?

My vote for the worst,is the US Air terminal in LGA....saw a rat in there once...I thought a poodle got loose it was so big, half expected to see an old blue haired lady to chase after it until my eyes focused and I realized what it actually was. The thing had the run of the joint....looked like that oversizd rat from the princess bride in the lost forest.....

Best is E concourse in IAH

Ruddest, most hateful people I have ever seen in my life.

And yes my old CommutAir friends, even worse than the D terminal in CLE. Although the most memorable line from an airport food service worker came from the PizzaHut in CLE. I asked for one of the pepperoni pizzas coming out of the oven and the girl working the counter responded with "dems all tooken". I asked her to repeat herself and the response in a very loud, upset voice was "I sez dems all tooken!"

CLE C terminal sucks. I asked for a bagel and The Great American Bagel and the chick said, "We all outta bagels". What a ludicrous request on my part.
 
For me whenever I have a stopover in SLC I have found the entire airport to be crappy as far as food goes. You have very little variety and the Russian Mafia running that crappy City Deli place. You want pickle with that?

On the other hand I love that greek place in Chicago at the F Concourse. I eat there every chance I can. Best gyros ive ever had in my life!! Those greeks sure no how to cook.
 
STL has some pretty bad food, poor choices and poor quality food. Nothing like gettin back on the plane after getting your double priced burgerking only to find out you didnt get any napkins and your plain burger turned into a burger with double everything nasty on it.
 
DTW, old terminal AND new. Old terminal was just skanky. Choices in the new terminal are about the same, albeit somewhat cleaner. The McD's is always packed.

Ditto on the bagel place in CLE. I had the same thing happen. I mean, the audacity to ask for a bagel, at a bagel place. The nerve! They were out of coffee, too.

OTOH of the spectrum, the "new" MDW is hard to beat, with Manny's for breakfast.

Back in the day, BWI had a Dunkin Donuts down on the D gates that was great for Jo in the wintertime. About the same time, TPA's employee cafeteria wasn't bad. A big ladlefull of eggs, about 6 pieces of bacon, cornedbeef hash, a pile of hashbrowns and a biscuit with the same consistency as play-doh along with a surprisingly drinkable cup of coffee was $3.99.

I miss the Greek place....the McDonalds, not so much.
 
Potbelly's at MDW was terrific....a wreck on wheat.... just can't beat it.

Just don't eat at the Taco Bell in the northeast...E.Coli outbreak. And they think its just the green onions.....Yea right!!!!

Without a doubt CLE is up there with the worst of the fuggin worst.... It doesn't matter C or D. And its not only the bagel place....It's mindboggling.

On a side note, why are the bagels so expensive there???

Severe stomach cramps and stomach tenderness.
Diarrhea, watery at first, but often becoming very bloody.
Nausea and vomiting.

This can describe any overweight, hemorrhoidic trucker trying to sober up by eating anywhere but the Waffle House.

Watch out for the "Sesame Chicken" at the Manchu Wok near the E-Gates in SLC. Not all the time, but some days, its like they take chicken nuggets and ketchup, with some sesame seeds and stir it all together. Their orange chicken is good though.


On the other hand, the Wok-n-roll across from the NW gates at PIT is phenomenal!
 
I thought Vegas was pretty bad too. ATL C concourse sucks.

ATL E concourse is decent.

DFW may be the best place for variety and quality.
 
Don't forget Ban Joe's Cafe by C-17 in Cleveland. It's finally a decent place to eat in that airport! NEDude, you missed out on that one. :D
