feel free to add your own. i would rather swim in a septic tank than associate with these losers, but basically i'm undecided on how i feel.

Yes, I agree pilots do too much finger pointing and blaming of other pilot groups, when management is truly the one to blame...example: "you stole my flying."
This is not one of those cases, pilots fully understood the ramifications when they (possibly you) accepted employment, they (maybe you) should be held personaly responsible for that.
Scabs.....well,according to the TRUE definition of the word relating to labor actions, not quite, but I think dammmn close.

nah, youre still a scab. if not by definition, then by reputation. i wish there was another official word to describe those scabs. But what's worse than Whores?

Ask an Xeastern guy what a scab is. They aren't scabs, they're well you hit it refer to the above.

I can't believe this post is still going..........

We know what it means, and it still applies to them. At least a true SCAB has the decency to wait until you go on strike to steal your job.

my sim instructor had a lot of bad things to say about gjet, but as far as i can see.....why get mad at an airline that doesnt affect you at all?? granted it doesnt set a good tone , but in the great scheme of things, it wont affect you!

You're wrong, Sir. It does affect you. As more airlines find new ways to whipsaw it's pilot group, the other's will follow right along. Orenstein from Mesa started this ball rolling for the regionals when he got Freedom up and falling down. The other airlines watched as there was no shortage of scumbag applicants to staff their scumbag airline. Guys like Uncle Hulas from TSA took a page from that playbook and got Ho Jet going and once again, no shortage of scumbags waiting in the wings to jump on it.

So if you don't believe it will afffect you, you're very much wrong. It affects us all eventually in one form or another.

Umm, Webster's says "a contemptable person", "one who refuses to join a labor union", "one who works for less than union wages or on nonunion terms". Well, I'm happy to report that all of you who are not DannyNoonan were using the term correctly. GJ pilots are in fact SCABS. Carry on!

I've heard that the interview at GJ takes about 10 minutes and it mostly includes a pep rally, HR questions, and secret ways to jump seat. Is that fairly correct?

Did you forget to sign out of a public computer???

You may want to explain your theory to all the pilots from GoJet that went to those companies. I've yet to see a GoJet pilot have trouble going anywhere.
No, management does not care and has no problem hiring them. We had one at Eagle, and quite a few of the captains refused to fly with them, the guy actually wound up quiting about a month out of IOE.

they also teach you the perfect way to turn your ID upside down and hide it behind your tie!

I was on a van with a blo-jets crew in KMLI two weeks ago, they did seem to be ashamed of where they work. When the van driver came into the lobby and said, Eagle, Go-Jets, they looked embarassed and did not say anything the entire way to the airport.

Maybe someone needs to explain to CAL, UPS, SWA, FedEx, etc. who these Go Jets guys are. Remember most of these folks are slightly more seasoned in the industry and "may" not know who these dirtbags are or the whole story behind Ater-eGo. Thus...one or two slip by the HR and Tech portion of interview and there you go........a goat-jetter at your airline.

I left Chautauqua to work at GoJets. Call me what you want, but any one of you would have done the same thing in my position. I wont be treated like a child, and Chautauqua was definately not the place for me.

I just love it when a regional pilot, who has a job because a mainline pilot lost his, accuses another pilot of "stealing" his job.

Priceless.

Why the change? What was so bad at CHQ?

Oh yeah I am sure since CHQ isn't growing or yeah the "contract" is BETTER at GoJet..........

I call Bul#s**.........

For Skyta and Captain Happy,
I work for a carrier that many if not most would aspire to. Which one is not terribly important. This is not tough guy talk, this is one guy who disagrees with the choices of these pilots and was personally affected by them. To that end, I will do what I can to ensure that there are consequences for their choices and will actively work to prevent their employment at my airline. It's not tough talk, it's just my response to their decisions. Good luck

It's a good question..

Truth is, most of the guys in the majors don't know about GoJet or even care..

However, when the current "regional generation" kids get to the Majors, many will remember it..
