Huh? So do you have anything to say about the threadline topic or do ya just like typing idle conversation?

Chill out guys! So G200 isn't all rah, rah over fracs. Most of the frac people here aren't either.

I just take his comments as a general commentary that no job is perfect. He's right.

Quite frankly, if I were a checkout girl at the Piggly Wiggly, I wouldn't date a frac pilot either. I'd hold out for an ASA CRJ FO at least... But only if he shops in his uniform! :D TC

Dude! I've never had any complains sporting my uniform on the way to or from home/hotel. Short of the pillsbury doughboy hat that 121 wears.... it's the same 'ol uni here at NJA (well.... the tie has got to be radio active being the color it is).

Or, if they are lucky enough to be in Florida, they can wait for the coveted Tab Express or Gulfstream FO.

I hate the goof suit....but, unfortunately, it's a necessary evil. I'd rather fly in shorts, a T shirt, and sandals....but I would even settle for slacks or Dockers style pants and polo shirts.

FLYLOW22,
I will answer your question for you. NO, Gulfstream200 has nothing to contribute because he is an a$$.

But he can't help it because he has no quality of life, and he hates his job! but he won't admit it.
He also knows that the average life span of his corporate flight dept. is only seven years.

But hey G200, the good news is NetJets is hiring 60 a month. But don't look for a help from me.

uh-huh....lets sell em all and pick up a few shares in some Ultras and a few Hawkers...

and stickshaker, F'n unemployment pays more in my state than Netjets pays a first year F/O --- - but thanks anyways. Plus the labor department doesn't even have a training contract!! :D What a deal!

but you DO have all the financial backing of Warren Buffett!! Sounds like a retirement gig to me...and the per diem!! --- what a deal it is!! ya know, uncle warren always said invest in what ya know...cokes and burgers! One smart fella that W.B. -- $16 a day should cover yours, right?

dont let me forget all the marriott and hilton points!!! thats also part of the pay when one asks a netjets guy, right? Its all about per diem and free stays..

can ya walk in a resume for me after you guys take over our 4000+ hrs a year?

Oh, and as always..

good luck on "the contract"

stop egging me on flylow......Im trying to adopt a sensitive, professional side here.

G200 speaks his mind

I get a kick out of you guys bashing g200!! The man speaks the truth. If all you fractional guys jumping all over him were secure in your lifestyles and pay what he says wouldn't bother you. The fact of the matter is that you guys are living in la-la land.

Well now. One of the prodical sons speaks from the shadows... And how much do you make as compared to other G drivers son? You may be comfortable with that fact at NJI but the rest of us pulling our weight at NJA aren't settling for what handouts RTS is willing to give out this week.

dont get me going flylow....Im warning you...

I will come beat you up and take your $6 in perdiem money and you wont get to enjoy your Taco Bell meals on your next 37 leg sortie...

Im warning you....Im trying to be nice!

I know the answer to this question - I work pilot compensation issues for my company.

NJI Senior GIV/GV Captain pay = ca. $135k + time and a half for days over 51 a quarter.

I'm curious... 1.5X for days over 51 a Q. What is the unit value of 51? Are youtalking dollars, donuts or dice?

And which compensation issues are there. RTS says, "Here ya go silly pilot." and silly pilot says, "Thank you sir. May I have another?!?!" You must mean that you work (for now) in CMH in payroll.

I clearly do not work for NJI, but my company, like NJI, know's that if we are to keep qualified Gulfstream pilots we must compensate them accordingly. Hence, we survey the industry to determine what other companies' compensation packages look like. There is a general shortage of qualified GIV/GV pilots in the industry. I know of a position in the Midwest and positions in the East that have remained unfilled for over a year due to the companies inability to find Gulfstream pilots meeting their needs.

On the left coast, Avjet pays a $2500.00 bounty to employees that bring in Gulfstream Captains to work for $145k.

The fact that G550 transitions are single-sourced at $53,000 doesn't help to enlarge the pool of available pilots.

But to answer your question - NJI Captains are paid in dollars. On average, 662 of them a day until they exceed 51 days in a rolling 90 day period. Then they get 993 of them a day until their work day average drops beneath 51 days in a 90 day period.

LOL! I think you might need to draw him a picture...

How surreal, a guy calling himself "BrnJetFuel" is slagging-off on someone else's name?

But really, you corporate guys with good jobs, you're beating your heads against brick walls here. Most NJA (not NJI) guys come from the unionized, airline world..the lousy-paying part of it. They've allowed themselves to be screwed-over by management for so long (including the act of accepting a job offer from NJA in the first place) they think that's how the entire professional aviation world works, including corporate aviation, with whom they rub shoulders.

They don't realize that their "noble" fight for better pay, etc, is merely playing catch-up to what they should have held out for in the first place. Most of them, when entering the world of business aviation, couldn't have begun to tell you annual salaries or industry-standard daily rates for aircraft, region, etc. etc. They assume that because they're union, they will get the best deal around..someday...someway.

Observe the thinly-veiled contempt NJA guys hold for their counterparts at NJI, simply becaue they aren't union members and made a better deal when the foundation was laid. It took a he11 of a lot more incentive to draw international-experienced G-lV captains already making good money out of their corporate world than recruit (complete with PFT then training bond) Citation-trainable 1K/month Brasilia pilots from the commuter airline ranks seeking their first jet time. Or the even more pathetic is the occasional, "well wait till your flight department closes down because of us", thing.

Given the differences in their respective salaries to this day, and all the union-propoganda self-delusion, it's rather sad to see someone tossing out a word like "...junior!". I'm sure NJI-guy is still smarting!

Sure....as soon as we get some. THey are in negotiations right now for a few more days.

Industry whores?

Pissed?

Go ahead and be pissed at us for trying to put food on the table for our families, that makes a lot of sense.

Snakepit sounds like you need to get a new job and quit complaining.
