yr 2 at swa. Line 1 $104,119. +Profit sharing which isn't mine until 5 yrs $5890. No options sold. Flew 893 hrs in 06. I didn't fly in Dec since I was grounded with a kidney stone.

Now THAT is some stuff!! The average pilot makes more than the average astronomer...and who said you don't learn anything valuable on flightinfo?!

That's right . . . . I was going to become a meteorologist, until I found out that I wouldn't really get to study meteors.

W-2 as a 5th yr 737 CA flew 750 blk for 1030 credit = $126,600 plus per diem and 10.5% B fund contribution . . . average 14-15 days off on commutable schedule. . . . . still waiting for the glamorous part to kick in.

First year captain, (7th year overall) flew 730 hours, $227,700. Averaged 14.5 workdays/month. Does not include 401, PS, etc.

I made 21k dollars. Yeah that's right second year fo at "our nation's premier turbo prop carrier" No 401K no profit sharing. I didn't need any of that crap. It would just confuse me.

This is not chatting with your buddies over a beer. This is posting how much you make for how little you work on a public forum...in a boastful and (sometimes) in your face manner. I was hoping to encourage folks to be above that...guess not.

See above........this might be the first person to claim Southwest Pilot's don't work hard. Heck we invented the 10 minute turn, the 8 day work week and the 14 month year!!! We rule!
