Unless you were sitting in the meetings and part of it all, you are speculating. Plain and simple. That is your opinion. There are many in the company with opposing opinions.
I was not at the meetings as you say, but I do know when they were and what happened shortly there after. That said I am not speculating about a thing. What happened is fact, as for other items the company could do to cut costs I again am not speculating, Facts are facts as to Inefficiencies in the company, I will not go into them here but if you work /worked for Shares you know them all very well. You mistake my conversations as blasting Shares I have no intention of blasting the company I worked for, I will however tell it like it is with no rose colored glasses the good and the bad! As for having opposing opinions I hope there are many of them unfortunately what I said happened after the meeting are not subject to opinion they are fact!
Shares has never shown me anything but a sincere effort to do the best they can in every situation. Sometimes things get messed up but they always get corrected. MOST of the time, things are wonderful......all without a union. That is all the proof I need.
Finally we have agreement, I have loved working here for the most part! I will disagree with you on one sentence. "Shares has done the best they CHOOSE to do for the most part" a small word but a huge difference in meaning.They pick and choose at will how to deal with the same situations. One person will get treated one way and another will get treated another...... You never know where you stand! yes all without a union, things are not bad, but I will say this, most every thing that has happened at shares is due to another fractional standing up and changing the industry, or the pilot group finally has enough and the union talk starts and then POOF (I like that word) something changes to make the group feel better....all without OUR OWN UNION......but riding the coat tails of another companies hard fought battles or on the threat of a union really happening this time....(how crappy is that) By the way not opinion again fact look at the history. I know it will be hard to believe but I am not pro union.......I would rather not have a union, BUT when things are done very arbitrarily then it is time to put things into perspective without any emotion! When pilots are terminated over the phone for minor things, or Managers are terminated for disagreeing with Vice Presidents, or other departments hire new people 2 days after 24 people are fired, then perhaps it's time to stand up and say enough.......cause if you never have re-course then when will it be your time???
I still believe in doing the best you can for those PAYING you to do a job and things will all work out. Having flown with those with varying opinions from both sides of the fence, I have found that most of what is spouted as truth in this company, in an effort to get a union, is nothing more than lies used to stir the pot.
Man o man I think you have insinuated I was a liar a number of times, please stop it! EVERYTHING I have said here is a truth that is in fact happening at this moment. Have a union don't have a union. It Makes no difference to me anymore, but it does to you weather you believe it or not! If you are an employee still employed I urge you to educate yourself about the happenings in the company, get a copy of the letter sent to the furloughed Pilots, ask around about the hirings and fireings.......when you check into the inner workings then we need to talk. I am not trying to stir anything, I started all this to remind the NetJets folks that although it sucks what they are dealing with there are others in the industry that have it just a little bit worse, and the reason weather you like it or not is that they fought and got the UNION and that is the only differance between the two companies at this moment (when dealing with the furloughs)
When asked to provide proof, first hand accounts, ect,. The person saying it was not able to provide anything more than second hand accounts.
Tell me what you want to see and I will provide it for you.....again no lies no emotion only what I have in my grubby little hands.
I go with what I have experienced in this company. That is honesty, kindness, and a sincere effort to make things better, again, all without a union. That is a company I will always want to work for.
Very well said I agree with you I would also like to continue to work here, You and I obviously experiance different things.....thats OK just be a little more tolerant of those that have gone before you!
I would love to give you my side of the equation, but I will refrain from posting company issues here. It is nobody elses busines but ours.
What a cop out! It's anyones business that wants to know. How many folks on here want to work at shares? How many folks want to make an informed decision? Information is power......providing it never hurt anyone if-fact in only helps to dispell the rumor an inuendo!!!
You make a great point here that needs to be brought out. Shares is a strange company that a number of people see it and experiance it one way and others in the same space see it and experiance it another. This is a strange dynamic that is hard to get a hold of. The culture here has been set in a such a way that they hire extremely well, and get just what they are after......then as time passes the rank and file start to figure it out a differing pace.....let it out we will all listen, Just be nice about it!
