Nope. J/S on mainline = number of cockpit seats. UEX carriers are unlimited, though.Singlecoil said:I'm pretty sure United takes unlimited jumpseaters now.
dispatcher121 said:I know for a fact Alaska will only accept jumpseaters equivalent to the amount of jumpseats in the cockpit i.e. MD80-1, 734-2. It's written in their ops specs.

Hmmm, not sure how you know this to be a fact. I've jumpseated on Alaska numerous times to Mexico on an MD-80 with friends who also jumpseated. There is only one jumpseat on the MD-80, but they let the whole group go. No ID90s or anything - all ACMs.

That was the exception not the rule. I have a copy of their jumpseat policy in front of me....want one?![]()
No, I'll give you one instead.
This is from the ALPA website regarding Alaska's jumpseat policy...
A Guide to U.S. Airline Jumpseat Policies
Alaska
The jumpseat is offered to any carrier that has a reciprocal agreement with Alaska. Obtain a jumpseat form at the gate for domestic flights and at the ticket counter for international flights departing non-US stations. A jumpseat may be scheduled in advance only through the chief pilot’s office. Casual attire is acceptable, and certificate and company ID are required. The carrier offers international jumpseats. Call 1-800-426-0333 for flight information. Will accept as many jumpseaters as there are open seats in the cabin.
