The training center has been "on sale" for a while now. I'm not sure why this is new information. I was told by our reps that they're looking to sell it then lease it back. Or I guess you can take the flightinfo.com spin on the story and believe that our demise is imminent, hence the sale. Pick the story you believe and of course spread the rumor of your choice.

The "TA" that UA ALPA negotiated is a "quality of life" TA that is supposed to cover stuff like fatigue mitigation and I assume reinstatement of an improved trip trading system (we pulled our trip trading agreement with the company last June because it heavily favored the company). It's not a TA for our contract that becomes ammendable in DEC '09. Few pilots could actually trade trips before we pulled the agreement, so I guess they came up with something and perhaps some better scheduling stuff. We'll see.

One thing that is for sure in the world....

The only ones who know who is merging or considering merger together are at the palace or some in NY and DC.

Everybody else is just speculation.

Time will tell...
