Yep, Delta management flaunts the insider trading regulations left and right. Same principle as ALPA holding back the careers of the regionals over the last 15 years. Both are doing a lousy job of their "intent".

Sure, management types do say some things in the Media to help their stocks a bit, but if they get it wrong too often, the SEC gets involved. If they are way off and get their large bonuses while everyone else get "the shaft", then people like the deposed Eliott Spitzer get involved. A lot of that stuff is "fairly accurate", unless huge events dictate otherwise, and I guess Swine Flu could be an excuse, but we don't fly to a lot of Mexican cities, and it was short lived. So, how is that commute to JFK going?

If U raise your fares by $25, a lot of different things can happen. Two of them are your gross profit may decrease, and your net profit may decrease.

Companies try and price their products to make the maximum net profit, and raising their prices may improve their bottom line, or may make it worse.

If you are getting profit sharing as a Comair pilot, then that is coming out of the pockets of Delta pilots. That WILL stop.

If we are all making money I don't have a problem sharing the wealth. If Delta pilots are not getting profit sharing, connection pilots are not either.

Does somebody want to bring this up on the DALPA board? Might bear investigating.

Besides, if you actually look at the upcoming retirements you will see that hiring will happen and in large numbers. Its going to be slow to start but its coming, you just have to look past your nose.
