Well, he could have stayed home if that was his desire. No problem.

So could you...... recall..... parents get to choose thier kids....but kids don't get to choose thier parents....

Wow, and to think of all the sacrifices we took working our schedules that our kids never even needed a nanny. Yes, I guess we failed, if failing means straight A students, top colleges in the country and nationally ranked swimmers. How are your kids turning out so far? I see "emo's" in your future.

Because the feminist agenda was crammed down mens throats. It was forced upon us..... and the changes that occured in the work place and home. Perhaps change needed to occur but that radicalism has had aftershocks. Men certianly weren't a partner in the movement. I never really viewed June Cleaver and Laura Petrie as oppressed or suffering. But hey, if women feel they needed to create a 'women vs men' issue out of it, then so be it.

~Times have changed...blame inflation and outsourcing...

Just because women decided to work doesn't mean men have to vacuum. If women want to work to "prove" themselves, then fine, but don't forget your domestic duties. Men haven't forgotten thiers. One of the reasons why the feminist movement was successful is because, even though during the day, women became competitive b1tches (men are the equivilant b@stards..) at night... men still want to get laid!! So men said.. fine fine...whatever you want just don't with hold the pootang!!

~domestic duties...have you ever lived on your own!!! With that attitude I don't think men like that should ever get laid (by a woman)...

Women working isn't about providing for families via putting food on the table, clothes on our backs and a roof over our head and paying the bills. Sure there are plenty of women that are in that situation, but they were going to work regardless of the socio-political movement.

~I beg to differ...right now the two of us combined income can barely break even...

Women working is about social equality. It certianly wasn't becuase the unemployment rate was so low. The feminist are about control and power. (let's be clear... I am not saying women should stay at home, only a spouse)

~oh, yeah...is that why I work. Thanks for enlightening me. Last time I checked there are bills to pay

Women defining thier worth via the workplace has certianly had side effects. More than ever, women are/were placing children second or ancillary. (this whole debate thread). But now that women are working thier is no need to stay married. Both men and women are more committed to themselves. Consider families even 200 to 3000+ years ago. A man needed a woman and vice versa. It was hard to survive without each other. Now that has all changed with "Up yours! I got mine!"

Let's not forget the value of women. They have always been priceless. They bring a balance to marriage and home. Just like men do. It is just harder to bring that balance when women and men are working. Just because women have declared their rightful place in the workplace doesn't men should stay at home?! Those certianly weren't terms at the Feminazi Peace Accord.

~How about pulling an equal load...equally yoked together...

And allot of girls are confused. They want career and family. They've been told you can have it all! You should have it all and maybe there is something wrong with you if you don't get it all. It seems that most people would like to have someone home when they get home from work. Well, why hook up with someone if they aren't around...? IOW, from a man's perpsective, if they can find a women who won't be gone on four day trips or better will be home and keep house then more power to him! But working chicks shouldn't be pissed! They've made thier bed.... We all make our choices... And let's not streotype the man as a patriarch who finds a woman who wants to stay at home.

I think women have a different way of showing it, but I don't see the passion in aviation in women. It seems women view aviation as a medium to prove they can work. And don't get me wroing, some of the best pilots are women and I'd rather fly with chicks than some guys. Sure they love flying....But when a crew passes the UPS ramp in the hotel van and the guy says "check out the fans on that 8" The chick goes.. "huh? Wha?"

FlyUnited- I heard a great joke yeaterday... you've probably heard it.

A boy whose mom was an airline pilot and dad was an accountant was asked one day.. When you grow up do you want to be a pilot? They boy replied. No! That is womens work!

WOW!!!
This is some of the most sexist sh!t I have ever heard!!!!
This is 1950's propraganda!!!

You are telling me that the reason I am is a pilot is that I can prove I can WORK!!!! Let me tell you boss, that is not true. I was a computer programmer, a flight attendant for two airlines, and am currently a pilot. I proved that I could work when I was 15, at a deli. (my parrents told me if I wanted Coach and Gucci, I had to get a job!!! So I did, to fund my shopping habit.) I have two degrees (cum laude both). Computer science and Management. Of all the things I have done, I LOVE FLYING and AVIATION the most!

How dare you say that women aren't into aviation as much as men. You have never met me!! I am also a typical girly girl who wears dresses and makeup. I don't see how you can cliche all female pilots!

You Sir, can not handle empty kitchens!!!

Yes, I am in a two pilot relationship as well. I take care of my boy as well as my mom; and took care of my grand parrents. We do not have kids because of finances, but when things become stable that may be an option.

SIR...go back to your cave and come out in the current century!

I know Coach and Gucci... why would your parents want you to have a job to date them. They are sluts. They'll hit anything... even you... job or no job.

Meanwhile the divorce rate is higher than ever, our kids are on drugs, either given by doctors or gangs and the Girls Gone Wild franchise is making millions...

I don't care who stays at home with the kids, Mom or Dad....but someone better do it.... if you want to buy your high dollar fashion items...go for it... some of us are trying to raise altruisitc, egalitarian, well balanced, ritalin free, productive members of society..... Kids that define themsleves based on self worth and character, not brand names, labels, & the number of educational degrees.. IOW accomplishments and materialism....

The only thing our kids want is to do is spend time with thier parents...

Women not into aviation as much as men? Go to an airshow.... Look at the FAA certificate ratio... Oh that is right... its oppresive males telling girls they need to stay in the kitchen....

By the way... its called a uterus and men didn't give it to you...its just the way it is.......

Or maybe I can't do it all..... just another failed male in the feminist lens...

Oh and I make a pretty good lasagna too...... ;)

Hi!

Actually, you do choose your parents. If your upcoming life situation is too difficult to handle, you can get re-assigned. It doesn't happen too often, because God doesn't put you in situations you can't handle on purpose. He wants to see growth, so he tries to challenge you-not crush you.

The feminist agenda WAS about power. In the past, in many cultures, men had virtually ALL the power because they could physically conquer the women.

However, in today's world, the balance of power has already shifted to the women. They WILL be in control. Many guys don't like that, but they had the power for millions of years. If you can't take a woman with power, don't come back to earth next time.

What SHOULD a woman do? Whatever is best for them. Some women want to work only. Some want to stay home only. Some want to work, and then quit to stay home with their kids. Others want to have kids AND work outside the home at the same.

What is best for kids is a good, solid family and a larger group of people that love the kids and will help them.

If you have a stay-at-home mom with an abusive father who beats everyone, that is BAD. If you have two parents that work a lot, and you have great support at home (nanies, relatives, friends who are GOOD with the kids) then that is GOOD for the kids.

There is no BEST way to do it-there are many ways.

Also, sometimes kids from the BEST homes are BAD, and kids from the WORST homes are GOOD. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do, the kids just turn out BAD or GOOD regardless.

When I'm flying, I want the best person next to me. I don't care what they are, as long as they try hard to do a good job.

The military, as with all jobs, should be open to all. If you're good, you get the job. If you can't meet the standards, or you have a bad attitude, you shouldn't get the job. It's crap to exclude women from jobs because they're women. It's also crap to give people jobs just because they're female, or male, or whatever.

God Bless You!

Stop having children!!!!!!!!Right now, they are tearing down the preserve behind my house to build a sixth, that's right, sixth elementary school within two miles of each other! Don't you think there is something wrong with that? How many elementary schools were around your particular area when you were growing up? Thanks, parents. Now, the beautiful deer that used to show up in my back yard are gone!:angryfire

It is a good thing your parents didn't stop having child(ren)!

Schools can help increase the value of your house and neighborhood...

Plus, most kids, the behaved ones with at least one parent around, don't poop in the perserve!

Children can do things most adults can't: kids don't hold grudges and they love unconditionally... Your deer may look beautiful and taste yummy but they won't make the world productive in 18 years....

I love my folks dearly, but I never would have known.

Schools can help increase the value of your house and neighborhood...

True Dat. Already did. not worth 18 + yrs of he11 for me, however.

Would rather have poop in the preserve than YOUR kids smoking in there, dropping a cig, and starting it on fire!

Children can do things most adults can't:

Did you have kids just to see what they can do? Just go to your local supermarket. See the pi$$ed off expressions on all of the parents in there.

kids don't hold grudges and they love unconditionally...

Actually pets are more like that.

Your deer may look beautiful and taste yummy but they won't make the world productive in 18 years....

Oh yes. Must have children to make the world productive.

Something tells me that Rez's kids haven't quite hit elementary school yet. He's still pretty impressed with himself and thinks he knows all there is to know about this parenting thing. Give him time.

fyi Rez - At 18 they still aren't too productive but they cost a bundle.

And neither are you.... its still about you..... which in actuality means it isn't about you....

The more you give the more you get.........

Up to what age? Kids can be very very cruel. Look at some of the things that go on in schools.

Kids and schools add value to a home? After all the tax increases due to all the schools, I think it's a wash if you are lucky.
