Trans States downgrades and furloughs - Again...

Word is 28 Capts & 50 FO's gone. Someone tell me again why I wanted this career path. Keep it positive.

Good luck to you guys. A wise man once told me "don't live it twice." Deal with it when it comes. Good luck to you, I hope you can find interim work or even a better flying job.

No. This is probably due to the 5 birds we're lossing to AeroMexico. The Eagle take back will be something entirely different and is still looming.

But don't worry fellow Waterskiiers! Management has been keen to let us know that the door is open at Ho-jets. PUKE!

Is Go-Jet realy hiring???!! That makes me sick!!!
 
I remember we had a go-jet pilot in our newhire class. When we did our intro about were we were from and what equitment we had flown. One guy (total "tool") stood up and said he flew for TSA airlines. The instructor asked what equitment. the "tool" said the CRJ-700!! the best part is the instructor stood up through down his pen and said lets get this straight you flew for GO-JET not TSA!!! is that right!! the "tool" said yes sir and sat down. There were 4 TSA pilots in that class also.. They were mad!!
 
How does Aeromexico fit into all this? Why the F can't recruiter be honest and say we're a good and strong place that's going to grow but we're just flying these airplanes temporarily for other companies. Maybe I wouldn't have signed on then..:mad:

Was that back before they were union?
 
Got the call this afternoon...I was in the early 20 F/O group....I'm done on Aug 15th....

Sounds like no comunication form the top at TSA!! I interviewed ther back in 98' The chief pilot came in and talked about how cool he was. And how much we suck! and we should fell lucky to be here and that if we make it through the hiring prosess we most likley will fail out of the sim.. I stood up for my intro and said after hearing the cheif pilot speak i no longer wanted to work there and walked out.. The HR lady followed me out and asked what was wrong. I told her that the chief pilot was a complete TOOL!!! and left..
 
The TSA pilots had a TA that would have joined GoJets and TSA as a single group.....they voted no on the TA....Be careful what you wish for.....

Shoulda taken the deal......

Get the scope and worry about the payrates later.....

The person (MEC) who sold out the pilot group is no longer here. -Not sure why we are all still paying for this.
 
I don't think you can accurately say that former MEC chaiman sold out the pilot group. There was a vote, and the vast majority of the pilot group voted "no". It was a crappy deal (contract extension with stipulations that amounted to concessions) when it was presented to us, and I would vote "no" again today.

Did the pilots not vote against the TA? You had a chance to bring everything under one list.....Actions have consequences.......

You really have no clue what you're talking about.

That total crap TA would have done nothing to protect the TSA pilot group from the current situation. It still would have been two different companies and two different pilot groups.

That TA gave those idots furlough protection rights over senior TSA pilots.

I voted NO and would do it again

I'm not kicking you....I just don't understand why pilots don't want to pay for scope and then complain when it is used against them.....How did you vote?

This shouldn't being hapening....but then there should be a single list....

Well, we HAVE scope. Shall I quote from our contract? IT WAS VIOLATED. And here we are. Thanks again for your support.

I'm just wondering when pilots are going to get serious about scope.....They had a chance to get a single list....We are our own worst enemy.....

If MGT got rid of emb's they like they are doing now.

NOT ONE GOJET PILOT WOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO BE FURLOUGHED UNDER THE SINGLE LIST.

THEY GOT TO KEEP THERE SEAT
