You don't hold any cards. Zilch. This website is run by SWA and supported by SWA.

Oh baiter of the flame, you failed to grasp my message, and you also fail to understand who runs that website. Contrary to your assertion, it's not SWA. It's SWAPA.

SWA has their own website called SWALife. They just finished indexing our new SWA employee numbers yesterday and will have a section on SWALife specifically for us to join SWA pilots up this coming Tuesday.

Nice try... ;)

I am sorry but i just have to say it. Please tell SWAPA to go through the site and fix all the misspellings and grammer errors. Can SWAPA not hire a proof reader? It is horrible to have that represent SWA and SWAPA.

SWA supports the site. It is true.

It's a freaking video.........

Sensitive much? G-zuss! It does a pretty good job of giving a rundown of the deal. Tomato - tom@to.

You said SWA *RUNS* the site. Not true.

Whether they support it or not, I don't know. What I *DO* know is that there will be a new section of SWALife for merger news for AirTran employees that IS supported AND run by SWA.

AirTran Crew Members and One LUV Tab Coming Soon to SWALife!
Blog By: Todd Painter on Apr 28, 2011 at 3:30am

As you have seen, we have announced our intent to legally close on the acquisition of AirTran Airways on May 2, 2011. Beginning on the day of legal close, the 8,000+ Crew Members of AirTran will be able to log in to their own version of SWALife as we begin the work to become one Company. AirTran's customized view includes access to portions of the About SWA, LUV Culture, and Tools tabs, in addition to the home page.

For all Employees—from both Southwest and AirTran—a new "One LUV" tab will appear on the top bar of SWALife. This special tab features helpful resources and the latest news related to the acquisition. You'll also get an up close and personal introduction to Southwest's Leaders and Departments. Be on the lookout for the "One LUV" tab to appear on May 2!

Keep in mind, AirTran Employees will have access to the news stories, videos, and podcasts that are hosted on the SWALife blog, and they will have the ability to comment on these posts. The Social Media handbook will be provided on the One LUV tab, and all Employees and Crew Members will be expected to abide by it and by the SWALife Terms and Conditions.

We know that many of you are interacting with AirTran Crew Members as you encounter them out in the system, and this will give all Employees an opportunity to interact online as well. AirTran Crew Members will have profiles on SWALife, so don't hesitate to search for the Crew Members you’ve met during this integration process! Over the next three days, Technology is working to transfer AirTran profiles in anticipation of Legal Close. While AirTran Crew Members will not be able to access SWALife until we are officially closed, we wanted you to be aware that you might be able to pull up some their profiles prior to Monday.

Most importantly, please remember to always treat your Fellow Employees—both old and new—with respect and Golden Rule behavior.

As of Monday, AAI will be a wholly owned subsidiary of SWA. For all AAI pilots, mark this day as the best in your commercial aviation career. You are now part of a great company made even better by AAI. I am a 10 year FO and I know that I will be flying for AAI CPs for years to come, I have accepted that fact and hope that we will grow as a combined company so that I may some day be a SWA CP.

Dude...glad you're not on the NC. Stop selling yourself short AND talking about how the SLI will end up. It is NOT over on 5/2/11 so pull up your dang pants and let your NC work for you. Oh, call somebody on the NC, too. You may be surprised by what you hear.

Madjack, I think that when we start selling our destinations to your customers, and your destinations to our customers, there will be much growth potential. We haven't even scratched the surface, as far as near-international destinations go.

Hope your right Ty, growth would be the great balm for the SLI, if we grow like GK is saying we will (+1000 pilots) due to the synergies of SWA/AAI all these discussion will be moot...hate to imagine the alternative scenario...
