SWAPA might like SWA proposal

The AirTran MEC did not endorse the proposal. The Merger Committees are back at the bargaining table today.


Please clarify: They did not endorse it as in they have not acted on it yet or as in they rejected it. If they rejected it source please.

That is so laughable as to be sad that you can actually put that in print. Wake up.

It's less laughable than saying an arbitrated list would result in no
merging of the lists.

GK has told the SEC and the investment community that he is fully
merging the operations. If he lied about that material fact to investors he could end up in jail, and the lawsuits from investors could last for
years and result in the ultimate downfall of the airline. WAKE UP!

They left Dallas and the Merger Committee went back to bargaining. There wasn't anything to reject or approve, as the MC hasn't brought them a deal. When the MC reaches a deal that they feel is acceptable, they will bring it to the MEC for them to vote on. If they approve it, then it goes out for a pilot vote. That's how it works.
 
The company wants a negotiated settlement between the pilot groups...the company usually gets what the company wants....this ain't over...

In your mind is there any "acceptable proposal" other than relative or AAI pilots getting the top 1700 slots?

The good thing you mentioned that. I really do not think that SWAPA knew that. It seems that Airtran really has SWAPA in a good position. Everybody thought that SWAPA would control this but after reading your post and the other legal experts like PCL, Ty and Lear70 it seems like SWAPA will have to give in to your demands or face the music. You should at least give them a way out to save face.
 
According to some reports, senior FO's at aai would lose close to 32 % under the latest proposal that didn't make it out for a vote....

32% of what...pay??
 
With all the gains coming to the AAI group, saying "thanks, but no thanks. We'll hold out for a little more" to your new boss just doesn't sound too promising.

This is going to be good! Evidently some Airtran guys on this forum are to dense to understand what is going on in Dallas this week. Gary will let this go to arbitration, but Airtran will not like the outcome. I hope you guys are brash enough to turn it down. This is getting good.

Have you heard of Gary making a second proposal? It will be interesting to see if he will. If there are small changes to the package, then maybe. Anything other than that, and AAI might be on their own.

I am not a genius I am a pilot...but I never said "GK only makes one offer", someone else said it but not me...I have never said I know what MR Kelly is thinking, he may not make another offer. I do believe he is a very good negotiator, and that he really wants a negotiated settlement.
 
I assume it wasn't 32% of pay that the senior AAI FOs were losing. Does anyone know what the average RAISE for AAI FOs would be?

Well if that's the case, you can keep your pay and benefits and we will keep ours. Oh and you can keep you seniority on a seperate list. That was easy!!!!
