Yeah, just finished New Hire training and there are NO plans for classes in December I am very sorry to say.

I thought classes weren't known until around 30 days out? That being the case, as of now there wouldn't be any plans for a class, but as is always said isn't that always subject to change?

Out of curiousity, how is it that people in training are more privvy to information than those in the pool who speak to the PD?

What he said, when you stop by their offices and visit, have lunch with the gang regularly and they are fixtures (most of them) at the hotel bar you get to know them pretty well, better than you would by repeated phone calls. Also, classes are CONFIRMED 30 days ahead of time, NOT thought up. You are right, there is a small possibility that they could throw one in there, but as of now, there are NO plans to do so. I hope for everyone's sake that they have as many as possible so I can leave Oakland but we'll all see sooner or later.

That sounds like a good rumor. I heard from my reliable source today that there is still no talk of anything until after the holiday rush, and no more interviews until June ’08.

Obviously this is not new information...Just trying to keep the string alive.

Update...

Ok, just spoke to the PD today and here's what they told me: "Training Dept 'thinking' of having one Dec class, but certainly not firmed up...I am #10 in the 3rd class, so there are 50 poolies ahead of me (they are planning on 20 studs per class). They said they do expect to start the new year w/2 classes in Jan, then probably 2 every month therafter...of course things can change..." So there seems to be quite a few poolies we need to consider. Enjoy the upcoming holidays while we can!
