More than any group on here, the SWA guys can not take any negative criticism. I am not only not flipping out angry, I also often freely admit that I would not want anything negative to happen to your company. (That's something rarely offered by SWA pilots about others). Im adverse to the anti competitive advantages that have been given to SWA since 1967, that's all. And I'm posting now because I smell another rat on SWA routes and how the relate to normal treaties and bilateral agreements that all airlines have had to abide by. Seems obvious to me you guys will be gaming those.

I can take criticism just fine- just not dumb criticism
:)
Good luck with the rants

Most people come on here to get information. However, when we do, all we get are dumb remarks by General Lee and Flopnut and your remarks. Why you had to even respond is any body's guess. What did you really say? Nothing. Give it a break and ignore them. Nobody cares what they say or what you have to say in response. Have a good day.

That's not as dumb as GL or flip, cometman, but it's close.
How many posts do I have? Anybody with more than a 1000 is a troll with issues. At least I know it. Sometimes I give good advice and opinion - sometimes I'm bored in an airport terminal waiting on a flight, annoyed I'm leaving at all much less leaving my girl to play with the island boys and whatever pilots in Maui that might have a go at her;) and just want to hear myself talk

I promise as many people don't care to hear your attempt at cleaning up FI
Maybe you should put in to be a mod

It's been a while since I received a warning for language

It's a twisted world when I find myself rooting for purple and puke orange on an FI thread.

Hey!

For the last time, it's not "purple," it's "blurple." Get it right, will ya'?

It IS and twisted world, and thanks for your support... :)

While all of what you say there is probably true. But, I'm sitting here wondering why anyone from the Caribbean or South America would possibly want to go to HOU or IAH on ANY airline. People don't go to airports they go from places to other places. Why would anyone from the Caribbean or SA want to go to Texas (unless it's some dude from Venezuela selling oil)?

There's nothing in Texas but bubbas. Who would leave paradise for that? Nothing personal, just saying. ;)

Which, of course, was my main point to Flopgut. Thanks for backing me up, although I'm sure it wasn't your intention. We want to fly international out of Hobby, because that's where our domestic passengers are. So, if your Surplus-like South Americans, who clearly don't want to end up in Texas, fly to Hobby, they can then connect on our domestic network to pretty much any where else in the US. Why, I bet even to your particular neck of the woods, Surplus.

Flopgut seems to think that the only "fair" way to do it, would be for us to have an international operation out of IAH, and then have our passengers take a $100 cab ride from one end of Houston to the other, to connect to another US city.

Bubba

P.S. I don't live in Texas. :)

Blurple. Got it; makes total sense. I debated on whether to write purple or blue, but opted for the one starting with 'pu' to match 'puke'. :D

You clearly lost this fight General! I see you've moved on! BTW, where's your pay since you're airline is doing so good? TWIT!

Huh? I haven't lost at all. My pay is great TWIT! Being senior in category, I often fly greenslips, which at double pay equals $300 an hour. DL pay is better per hour than SWA's for 757 and bigger(I fly bigger than 737--and don't forget the INTL override Twit!), better retirement (no individual requirement to invest, company does 13% automatically), and I don't have to fly 737s forever into Lubbock. Throw in 5,000 retirements over the next 10 years vs certain stagnation over there, and you've lost. Bye now!

Bye Bye---General Lee

Wave, you can't deal with facts. You then resort to calling it "dumb criticism..." Sorry, that's plain dumb. Facts like multiple leg days, 737s forever , and stagnation are just truths you have to admit, but can't. And, quite a few people each day have to fly to LBB, MAF, and AMA. That sux.

Bye Bye---General Lee

My problem is I remember too much too well. It's ridiculous that any SWA pilot critique my "tone" or "rants". Look who you're working for!! Herb is one if the biggest whiners this business has ever had!! I'm complaining only one gate was built for competing carriers at Hobby. Herb went bonkers over the gate situation at Stapleton! Not enough gates and they were too expensive, so he pulled y'all out and told Denver you'd be back "when cows fly". (google Herb K and the phrase "cold day in hell", it seemed a weekly threat) I know Herb is retired now, but everyone of you from GK down is a Herb disciple. If Herb was on the receiving end of this BS in Hobby he'd be in an Elvis costume piss drunk and screaming at news cameras. So spare me the slack jaw BS guys. SWA is the worst offender when it comes to over the top dramatics about fair treatment.

SWA is footing the bill for the terminal (about 156 mil). Why would/should they spend their money to build a bunch of gates for other airlines. Now if Houston was footing the bill, you would have cause for complaint.

Flop can never get around the fact the Southwest is completely paying for this terminal. Did Continental ever do that?
