Even if you were a >15 year, maxed-out, AirTran captain, that would have been $174/hr for 2013. A >12 year Southwest captain made about $190/tfp, or when corrected to an hourly rate, about $220/hr that same year. Plus, Southwest schedules are much more efficient than Airtran's (more pay credit per average workday and per average pairing).

Not to jump into the middle of this fine food fight, but per the Contract, a maxed-out CA made $182.68 in Dec 2013 and $186.32 in Dec 2014. According to APC, 190 TFP translates to $216. So, the difference is about $30.- $35. an hour.

Back to slingin' and flingin'.

Still wondering why we don't believe your story? You're basically claiming that you averaged more dollars per flying workday than he did. And you claim you pulled this off at a much lower pay rate, and a much lower working efficiency rate.

While there certainly are valid things to complain about, you might try claiming something a little more believable next time. Just a thought.

Bubba

Yes, I averaged more dollars per flying workday (about 2 hours credit per hour block or around $340/hour for the year), at a lower payrate (see previous), and the inefficiencies actually helped out. It worked for me, and I'll figure it out over there as well.

He wasn't bragging, and I'm not complaining just sharing some information that it is contrary to what most WN pilots believe.

The most accurate conversion is 1.16.

189tfp X 1.16 = 219.24. That's been the rate for at least 2 or 3 years now.

I thought he was generous in using the Airtran 2013 rate.

Carry on.

And Genny, the double breasted blazer looks hideous. That needs to be changed along with paying for the hotel during Indoc.

Ahh Canyon...too funny!

Hopefully your day job holds up so you don't have to go back down to South Beach giving out free BJs again.

Did he PFT for that too?

Bye Bye---General Lee

Another angry PFT troll post
Come on Fonzie. You leather jacket wearing cool guys are just jealous!

So these are the postings of Delta Pilots? Do you guys ever actually know the Delta Social Media Policy, something about being an advocate for the Delta brand. Is Atlanta aware of you guys, or whoever is on here acting as a Delta pilots? They should be.

Wow....obsess much Canyon?

With all that accurate data about social media, I'm beginning to think you aren't really a Spirit Warrior...more like a Cube Dweller in the G.O.....or even a Skywest Dispatcher! (Gasp)

You need to watch the negative stereotypes and beliefs you project on here, just saying.

Hey Ty, long time no hear. Trust you're doing okay...

Anyway, looking at my calendar, I see it's not Dec 2014 yet. :)

And he quoted last year's W-2, which was for 2013. Since your rates start in December, for all of 2013, except for possibly the very last paycheck (dunno if you guys do the advance thing like we do or not), the Dec 2012 pay rate would have been the appropriate actual rate for 2013. And that was $174.02, like I used. Although in rounding, I suppose I did cheat him out of 2 cents per hour.

I'm getting kinda tired of the pooh-flinging as well, but I couldn't let such an obvious line of crap go unchallenged--either the claim of the check airman bragging with a photo of his W-2, or the idea that 2BFlyin grossed more $ per average day at work.

Speaking of which, from his attitude, I don't think he really "luvs" to be flyin'. I think he's making that up as well. :)

JANUARY 21, 2013 WSJ

As Facebook and Twitter become as central to workplace conversation as the company cafeteria, federal regulators are ordering employers to scale back policies that limit what workers can say online.

Employers often seek to discourage comments that paint them in a negative light. Don?t discuss company matters publicly, a typical social media policy will say, and don?t disparage managers, co-workers or the company itself. Violations can be a firing offense.

But in a series of recent rulings and advisories, labor regulators have declared many such blanket restrictions illegal. The National Labor Relations Board says workers have a right to discuss work conditions freely and without fear of retribution, whether the discussion takes place at the office or on Facebook.

Oh and Canyon, nothing on my avatar, Bill's, or crazy Scoot's shows anything DL. Nope. Now look at goofball Redflyer and others, who have pictures of a Corndog 737. That's a little bit more incriminating. This is an anonymous board, unless you plaster an orange 737 on your avatar or you name yourself "SWA Bubba." I'd say then you may be putting yourself out there. Some of you guys got "big cojones!"

Most of us had 3 different payrates in each of the years of 2012, 13, and 14. The one you started the year with, a raise on the anniversary of hire date, and the raise on the ammendable date which was only good for the advance on the 25th check.

Thanks for pointing that out--that means you earned less than $174/hr for at least part of 2013. You should quit while you're behind....

"Ehhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyy" Fonzi! You look so cool in Amarillo in that leather jacket. So you, Potsie (Slaquer) and Ralph Mouth (Bubba) can all look cool holding hands down Main Street there. Fannntastic!

It's Ralph "Malph," GL, not "Mouth." If you're going to use annoying pop references like me, you should at least get it right. :0

you guys got "big cojones!"

Hey, thanks for noticing!

No, with the amount of diatribes you write, I'd say you're Ralph "Mouth." That was deliberate, but thanks for the correction Alex Trebek.

only YOU would check out someone's package Jenni

Thanks Freeturd, but I had heard that you lost yours in Vietnam. They may be hiring over there, so it may be time for you to go back and find them. Good luck with that turdy.

And yet you continue to post crap like this ^^^^^^^^^^(the two just above) showing what a complete idiot you've become. You've really not added any meaningful info on here in years. That's why people continue to make fun of you for stating the same message over and over and over. ie, 88 B-717's!!!!

As far as Happy Days and the Fonz go,

YOU'VE JUMPED THE SHARK. Please leave.

Don't forget that the clock starts at brake release at SWA, and it's door closed at AAI. And an 85hr line at AAI is easily a 90-95 hour line by the end of the month. If you fly your line, and don't pick up trips, the pay increase isn't all that. Now, I know the SWA guys don't want to hear that, but it's true. Never mind the fact that a 100 plus hour line at AAI is very easy to attain if you want to simply swap trips and keep your days off. My pay increase will be about 19K this year, which is about 20K less then Id make at AAI sitting on reserve in the left seat. I think it's safe to say the "huge" pay increase myth has been dispelled. I talked to an AAI Captain the other day who has taken a roughly $60K pay cut. I'm not bashing SWA, but it is no better then any other airline, and in a lot of ways, it's a lot worse.

And you still LUV Midland. That's sad... And thanks for the 88 717s, that's instant expansion and hiring (115 new hires in Nov), while you will be stagnate due to eventual upgrades by AT pilots who should have moved over as Captains anyway. You should be ashamed, and you and your Fonzi jacket look foolish.
