Then go to Delta...doosh.

You could get Atlanta and enjoy the double breasted blazer walk during your 3hr breaks...while making less.

Some new hires are going to the 7ER, and have 1 leg flights to a 24 hour layover in Europe or a 35 hour layover in South America. It sure beats 5 legs to Midland, and you know that Red. Wait, you really don't know that.... Too bad.

Funny, you guys mention pay. An RSW 20 year check airman just shared his last year's w2 (had a pic of it on his iPad), it was only about 25k more while working 2 more days a month and 1 more week of vacation. He was surprised and I wasn't impressed.

What kind of DOOOSH takes a photo of his W-2 to show off on the flightdeck??......arrogant Prack

Good thing you didn't indulge that tool

You're right, it's a tough call. Unfortunately, I'm too senior and too old to start over again, so I'll just spend my next 25 years payinwg it back (Lord willing and the creek don't rise, of course), bless your heart. I'm picking up this southern thing. ;) I can't wait to get to the big DAL!

So your 40 years old a too senior

Poor you . I did not know. my apologies go out to you. :)

Of course the answer, Bill, is no kind whatsoever.

It didn't happen--Luv2b made it up for grist for his argument. In fact, that whole post was a made-up bunch of crap, to give him something to bitch about. Don't be so quick to believe things that are obvious BS.

The delto twins are too gullable, I feel bad for the guys who really want to make progress on their next contract with guys like this around. Richard Anderson's pool boy and his fluffer are an embarrassment.

Ahh Canyon...too funny!

Hopefully your day job holds up so you don't have to go back down to South Beach giving out free BJs again.

Maybe I'm reading you wrong, but UAL has a higher rate for the 800/900 versus the 700. Has been that way for a long time.

Sorry, you're absolutely correct. 800/900's pay $9 more than the -700 at UA. I missed the separate rates for the -700 when I looked at it. My apologies.

From what I hear, it happens more often than not and I'm not an anomaly. I'll figure out a way to talk the captain into letting me take a pic next time.

I know what I saw and your lack of belief means nothing to me. Just the fact that you are so quick to blow it off and claim me a liar just gives more credence to the story because you'd hate to admit the truth I shared. Keep living with your head in sand, GK Luvs you. SWAPull loves you as well, BTW.

"From what you hear"? That's rich.

So "claiming you a liar" gives you more credence? What will actually demonstrating it do? And BTW, what does not believing your rant have to do with having one's head in the sand? What kind of whack-ass deflection is that?

Let's see... You're claiming that he bragged about his W-2, which showed he made only $25k more than you for the year, right? And you're further claiming that he worked two more days per month more than you to do it; also right? Well, since SWA check airmen receive 7 tfp/month (almost $16k/year) above and beyond their other pay (just for being a check airman), that means you're really claiming that he only made about $9k more for the year than you, for actually flying, and that he worked 24 more days than you for that extra $9k.

Even if you were a >15 year, maxed-out, AirTran captain, that would have been $174/hr for 2013. A >12 year Southwest captain made about $190/tfp, or when corrected to an hourly rate, about $220/hr that same year. Plus, Southwest schedules are much more efficient than Airtran's (more pay credit per average workday and per average pairing).

Still wondering why we don't believe your story? You're basically claiming that you averaged more dollars per flying workday than he did. And you claim you pulled this off at a much lower pay rate, and a much lower working efficiency rate.

While there certainly are valid things to complain about, you might try claiming something a little more believable next time. Just a thought.

Bubba

I've been at SW for a number of years, and I've never....yes never..heard of anyone pulling out a W2 statement or a picture of it.

From what you hear? Sounds similar to Harry Reid saying the 'word is out about Mitt Romney's taxes'. The only reason the word was out is because he made it up. The land of alternate reality.

Sorry you're so pissed Luv, maybe you and PCL can go hug it out.

Jealous of the Sub Commander Blazer? Haha, you got me Scoot.

Can I order one from you and take it to the marina? The only thing that's missing is the crest on the pocket and maybe an ascot! Full Steam Ahead..

"Ehhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyy" Fonzi! You look so cool in Amarillo in that leather jacket. So you, Potsie (Slaquer) and Ralph Mouth (Bubba) can all look cool holding hands down Main Street there. Fannntastic!

Not to jump into the middle of this fine food fight, but per the Contract, a maxed-out CA made $182.68 in Dec 2013 and $186.32 in Dec 2014. According to APC, 190 TFP translates to $216. So, the difference is about $30.- $35. an hour.

Back to slingin' and flingin'.

Yes, I averaged more dollars per flying workday (about 2 hours credit per hour block or around $340/hour for the year), at a lower payrate (see previous), and the inefficiencies actually helped out. It worked for me, and I'll figure it out over there as well.

He wasn't bragging, and I'm not complaining just sharing some information that it is contrary to what most WN pilots believe.

The most accurate conversion is 1.16.

189tfp X 1.16 = 219.24. That's been the rate for at least 2 or 3 years now.

I thought he was generous in using the Airtran 2013 rate.

Carry on.

And Genny, the double breasted blazer looks hideous. That needs to be changed along with paying for the hotel during Indoc.

So these are the postings of Delta Pilots? Do you guys ever actually know the Delta Social Media Policy, something about being an advocate for the Delta brand. Is Atlanta aware of you guys, or whoever is on here acting as a Delta pilots? They should be.

I won't bore you with the results, but you really need to keep your nut drainer sealed!;)

Wow....obsess much Canyon?

With all that accurate data about social media, I'm beginning to think you aren't really a Spirit Warrior...more like a Cube Dweller in the G.O.....or even a Skywest Dispatcher! (Gasp)

Hey Ty, long time no hear. Trust you're doing okay...

Anyway, looking at my calendar, I see it's not Dec 2014 yet. :)

And he quoted last year's W-2, which was for 2013. Since your rates start in December, for all of 2013, except for possibly the very last paycheck (dunno if you guys do the advance thing like we do or not), the Dec 2012 pay rate would have been the appropriate actual rate for 2013. And that was $174.02, like I used. Although in rounding, I suppose I did cheat him out of 2 cents per hour.

I'm getting kinda tired of the pooh-flinging as well, but I couldn't let such an obvious line of crap go unchallenged--either the claim of the check airman bragging with a photo of his W-2, or the idea that 2BFlyin grossed more $ per average day at work.

Speaking of which, from his attitude, I don't think he really "luvs" to be flyin'. I think he's making that up as well. :)
