Those pay tables remind me about the DOS+X years in my old Comair contract.

Sucked as far as the instant gratification aspect. However, my hire date and the contract date were almost exactly 6 months apart. It was nice to get a contractual raise every 6 months.

I wouldn't go top to bottom.

Find your year and seat, move at a 45 degree from there. It adds up quick on these scales.

3 year FO
Now $56
Signing $66.38 (17.9% increase)
DOS+1 $77.10 (16.8% step increase) (37% increase for 1 year!)
DOS+2 $84.10
DOS+3 $93.57
DOS+4 $99.93

37% increase in 12 months! Doubling your pay in 4 years!

I haven't seen the rest because I don't have a dog in this fight. As far as pay goes I think the MEC did good. Again, I'm an outsider and don't mean to step on anyone's toes. It's not my life and not my vote... good luck and I wish you the best.

I"ve been critical of the MEC and their actions. I apologize. Thank you Spirit Pilots.

Thank you for being the first to realize this--it's what we've been trying to convey over the past week. The Negotiating committee did an awesome job.

Health insurance is increasing at huge rates in the real world. The prior contracrt called for a 10% limit on increases. This contract has a 7% limit.

The 401(k) match is retained along with the 4 days off between trips.

Are you two assclowns serious? You are either on the MEC or management! These payrates are below ALLEGIANT, JETBLUE!!!! You must be an Embry-Riddle happy to fly a big jet guy?

Stop it with the name calling. It is obvious that you are not a NK pilot if you behave this way. Secondly, you need to learn to read.

Do you even work for NK? I do and want to be a part of the plans to expand. I hope you have your interviews set up with Jetble and Delta because, if you are so unhappy and are so great, surely they will snap you up.

Otherwise, grasshopper, be wise and be patient. Your time for greatness will come--just not in a Nintendo moment.

They appear to be about 20 percent
above Jetblue.

You should look at the end of the
contract.
At the end of our contract jetBlue will be making lots more. Get your head out of your a$$.

Or they could be making half of
that, if their management decides.
Stop dreaming JB isnt going anywhere. If they go under due to economy so will we and our contract will also be used to wipe our asses

So we should wait another 4 years to get JetBLue pay? Sounds awesome!

Nope, you're still short after 4 years.

Don't forget that you have been negotiating for almost 4 already. So 8 years to get not-quite JB pay is more realistic. Turn that sh*t TA down guys!

I want to compare Spirit Air's new TA to the one Allegiant agreed to earlier this year because they look fairly similar, but I have a couple questions.

Is Spirit's new TA using that adjustable pay scale that Allegiant agreed to (ie. DOS+1, DOS+2, etc)? Is it based on profit margin? Could you guys be forced to take a pay cut even though the company is still making a profit like we could?
If so, how can you prove that the company is making the amount they claim since you are not a publicly held company?

It looks like Allegiant FO's pay scale is slightly higher through year 4, then Spirit's is higher for the remaining 11 years or so. Also Allegiant's CA pay scale is higher through year 5, then Spirit's is higher for the next 10 years.

Also Spirit's is based on a 72 hour guarantee, Allegiant's is based on a 70 hour guarantee, so that pretty much makes up for the pay difference the first few years.

Spirit's new pay scale is only for A319 aircraft. The A321's are paid at 110% of the TA pay rates. Any aircraft acquired over 180 seats will require a different pay scale. Allegiant's pay rates are for all narrow body aircraft, including 220 seat Boeing 757's.

Spirit Air's TA gives Captains a $3000 bonus, FO's a $7000 bonus and the option for profit sharing in the future if any other Spirit air employees receive profit sharing. Allegiant pilot agreed to a TA that took away their entire bonus effectively taking away about the same amount the Spirit guys are getting in bonuses this year.

Spirit's TA includes 401K matching of 8%, Allegiant's is now 4%. Is this correct?

Spirit Air gets up to $10,000 reimbursement for moving cost for pilots displaced from a base, or they can take a $5000 lump sum instead.
Allegiant pilots get only $500 for moving expenses in the event of displacement. Was this part of the TA or just in the contract?

I agree, Spirit's new TA isn't good, but it's definitely better than Allegiant's. Boo hoo, we're bottom of the barrel; We suck again!
