I can't search through all these threads.... What is the story with the contract, the pay, the duty?

Really...IT SUCKS! Troll and Dispatcher are obviously stuck in CMH and know that Columbus is such a hole and that they aren't likely going to find another Dispatch job for minimum wage like they have now...so they do the bidding of the company and try to muster up as much of a company smile as they can in hopes pilots will apply at NJA faster than the vacuum's left by those fleeing. Afterall they spend a few weeks getting certified and if NJA closes it's doors or reduces the work force, it's off to working at the Limited or Budwieser for them.

NJA is a place that had a chance gone bad. Management doesn't care about customer service and they are willing to throw the baby out with the bath water. Really a shame because there used to be a number of pilots that would have wanted to see this place succeed. NetJets bought a couple thousand pilots anxious to see the planes end up with respectable corporate outfits who would on day one pay double what most of the senior pilots make now. Not much to lose anymore and much more to gain. They either pull their heads out of thier ahrses and dump the ego trip or this place is dust.

av8orboy - bottom line, if you were to go through all the NetJets threads, is that the company, benefits, work environment, work rules, etc are good. The one downside is that Pay is low. The pilots have a legitimate complaint since the contract has been amendable since 2001.

Hopefully the company and the pilots can reach an amicable solution in the near future as it is overdue.

Attrition

Is the attrition list growing ever more quickly?

Anyone know what the domiciles are going to be under the new contract if it ever happens? I've heard that all the newbies (hired after any new contract) will have only a handfull of choices until they hold enough seniority.

Don't bother coming to this board anymore if you are looking for balanced and objective information for NJA. It has been taken over by about a dozen or two disgruntled pilots who are angry with the company.

Granted, the negotiations have gone on too long and everyone is ready for it to be overwith. By the way, this board is not representative of the work environment at NJA. The anonymity tends to get people carried away. We don't engage in "these" debates at work. I have yet to run into a disrespectful pilot or any other employee who carries on the way you see on this board. It's hard work for sure, and that can get people discouraged and worn out when they don't feel they are being compensated fairly.
