Tina, Just looking at my profile it's obvious I did'nt work at Eastern. C340,J32,717 5000+ . Eastern ceased over 14 years ago. You know that buffet song " If the phone does'nt ring it's me" well for you If the phone does'nt ring it's MENSA. I hope they don't actually let you fly with passengers. I know its hard to make a masterpiece when you work with crayons but your flight instructor may be eligible for the hall of fame

Great post. Just looking at my profile you can see it's obvious that profiles are always accurate.

i can't decide what is more absurd: a CHQ guy calling airtran trash, or the airtran guy being threatened by it.

time for a reality check: chautauqua has no place to make fun of anyone. they used to rip on the dojet in LGA, even though those lowly, slow dojet drivers were making way more money than they were in the snazzy jungle jets. on the other hand, i can't see getting my panties in a bunch over a stupid comment on the radio. lighten up, francis.

yeah and there's 500 at continental, some at united, some at comair,to name a few. what's your point? There are scabs at EVERY Airline Just go on strike, they will show themselves. You might be surprised who they are.

The reason "AirTrash" is known for their scabs is because the 80+ scabs worked their when they only had 125 pilots or so. So at one time this wasn't so far off base. Also, gee, you sure showed those Comair guys. You sound like a little Napoleon to me.

Wow, I started this thread but couldn't get back before now to see the fireworks. I did think later about asking ground for his full flight number so we could call his CP. Even if we didn't call, he and his Captain would have sweat the load wondering if that call would come.........

USMCFDX, huh? I am exactly who you think, but I've NEVER flipped anyone off from the cockpit. Okay, there was the time I got pissed and flipped off the Yellow Shirt who was gesturing that he didn't like my taxiing on the Saratoga. But the one way conversation from the Air Boss after I got back to the Ready Room healed me.......

Snake still sux.

I did'nt get my panties in a bunch, actually I rarely wear underware but when I do its something special.

Yes, when Valujet had 250 pilots 200 were eastern. I still don't understand your point. Hey I got an Idea let's drag the scab horse out and beat it some more, its only been 14 years. Anyone who is carrying that list around is carrying aroung a list of mostly retired guys who can't jumpseat.

Yeah calling us "AirTrash" on the radio, Thats so clever. What will you guys come up with next? "Gator killer", wow thats great. will you be in town all week? "critter" oh stop you're "killing me" get it valujet - killing me.

B747dogg, shall I be expecting your call in the future?

Well, well, well. I now know why the Worm won't say who he works for.

I was taxiing out a few days ago at FLL and couldn't believe what I heard. As I was starting the 2nd engine, a Chataqua RJ was told to follow us to the active runway. The RJ responded to ground control that he would "follow the Air Trash". At first I thought I hadn't heard it correctly, but when I asked the Captain what that guy said, he replied that I heard it correctly. Wow. An RJ FO looking down his nose at us.

After a few minutes I realized that "air trash" is the Worm's favorite thing to call us. The only logical explanation is that this idiot HAD to be him. Obviously he doesn't meet the standard for us, so he just spends his time making stupid posts and radio calls (that I'm sure his crew members are embarrassed about).

So now we all know the truth. Enjoy your life loser boy.

I know what you mean...
I don't know what is in the water over at CHQ but I was told recently and on more than one occasion by a CHQ CA that he would never lower himself to work at SWA. He considers it a lateral move from his post as a 50 seat EMB CA. He says the same of all the other LCC's as well since we are lowering the bar (especially here at SWA according to him).

Well you guys at southwest are lowering the bar. 6 year capt 170.00 hr. and profit sharing. You should strike, thats BS! I for one would never accept slave wages.

CHQ 9 year 145 capt 67.00 hr
AirTran 5 year capt 120.01 hr & 10.5% B plan
Southwest capt 170.00 hr & profit sharing + job security

I can see why its a lateral move. He should hold out for something better.

Fletch, your " special scab-horse-beating underwear" is sure to make you look very cool at the Fox-Bar tonight. Make sure to wear them on the outside of your uniform pants.......Maybe Tina Fey will even let you háng on to her big American breasts!

(But I still try to fly Air Tran, Southwest, or Indy whenever possible.)

I love my job, My company has given me the greatest career I could have hoped for. I take it personal when somebody insults me on the radio. The first time someone called me "AirTrash" on the radio, it was Comair. I called their chief pilot just to let him know how professional his employees were acting. About an hour later I got a call from the pilot who was apologizing for his unprofessional behavior. That was more satisfying than any snappy comeback I could have thought of, and I'll bet he won't be saying that again anytime soon. If your man enough to do it, then be man enough to accept the consequence. Am I Wrong?

DID YOU CALL YOUR MOMMY TOO?

What a BABY.....

Tina can't make it tonight, she's busy filling out her application to ALPA national cause the're the good guys. Right?

Extra

No, I call yours. next time shave her back for me.

Fletch,

Where you the kid who always told on the other students if they talked while the teacher was out of the room? Let me guess you ran to the principal everytime someone kidded you.

Dont take these remarkds so seriously. Call their chief pilot? Give me a break? You must have a lot of spare time on your hands.

"Lighten up Francis..."

Its meant to be derogatory, nobody's "kidding". I don't really get upset, because I usually get the last laugh. now if you will excuse me I see some pilots in the hall outside the crew room without a pass.

The first time I heard "Air Trash" was from the DAL pilots when I used to JS on them. Now it has spread to the Delta Connection pilots? What a turd. I know some CHQ pilots myself, and they are nothing but professional. I hope the attitude of one idiot doesnt reflect on their whole pilot group.

Someday, that guy in FLL will probably realize what a tool he is/was.

AirTran rocks, I used to take them home all the time when I flew for IDE. (IDE from IAD to ATL, Air Tran from ATL to FLL) Sometimes a two-leg commute was a lot easier than waiting for one overbooked TED flight. Anyway, the AirTran pilots always show a warm welcome and are nothing but professional. Good group of people.

You called the chief pilot over that???

You need to buy a dip stick--you'll double your judgment index. Cheers.

I know its unpopular to defend your company, you're so much cooler if you take the "screw them attitude" because they owe you. After all they make you fly 15 days a month and only pay you 140,000 a year including retirement. Who do they think they are, Well I'm not woking for free any more! I want a pay raise. What no 3day trips, this is BS I'm filling a grievence. I'm working 12days in may, I'm only getting 91 hours of credit. Mabe I should just move to the employee parking lot since I'm there all the time. Better yet you guys are right, I not going to work with these scabs any more! no more AirTrash, ValuTran, Critter, Gator Killer, mobile home livin for me, I quit!! where's my ALPA pin?

Why don't you take a look at Eaglelounge and see what the APA winners have been doing about "being called names" - no pro standards, just direct complaining to management. Hence the comparison.

I wasn't comparing Eastern scabs to APA pilots, just suggesting that Fletch might be one or the other.

But since he's not, I will go back to the kitchen.

Hey Einstein, I am an APA member so I am well aware of what is going on within the organization. BTW, looking at Eaglelounge for a non biased view of the APA membership is absurd. That is like going to the Democratic National Convention and asking the members what they think of George Bush.

Your assumption that Fletch is either an Eastern SCAB or APA member is idiotic at best. What's your point?

Sorry, I'm with Fletch on this one. . . . . if the guy's stupid enough and unprofessional enough to say that on the radio, then let him come in on his day off and do the carpet dance.

It's an insult. its meant to be an insult. Tell us where you work extra, I'll make a "joke" and you can tell me how funny it is.

Wow freud there's no fooling you. came up with that one all by yourself?

Its really not that big of a deal.

I guess i'm just different than others, I have no problem with Airtran and actually know people that work for the company.

But I would never try to endanger someones job because they made a joke....

Guess you didnt pass the test to be a cop.....

I have no problem with other airlines, thats why I keep it professional over the radio. For the record I don't know any AirTran pilot that thinks "AirTrash, Critter or ValuTran" is funny. It's an insult and we all know it.

Extra I'll ask again, Where do you work? Like I've said many times, most of the people who flame this board like to hide behind their moniker. I'm not ashamed to tell people where I work.

P.S If you knew anything about the airlines you would know you can't lose your job over this, you just get your ego slapped by the CP for acting like a 12 year old.

My policy is to just ignore idiots who make disparaging remarks on the radio. Like petulant children, just deny them the attention they want.
