Skywest to phase out ASA. Could this be true

Could this be reality. Heard some of our pilots talking and they think since Skywest bought ASA they only wanted there routes gates and airplanes. They will slowly shrink ASA and take over there routes. This is the exact same thing that happened to CC Air back in 2000. The employees were slowly laid off until there were none. Why would they want the employees who are having labor woes. This sucks but it does make sense.
 
I have no idea if this is any more than a rumor. However, it IS an option they have.

NEVER think that mangement is here to help you. They are there to help themselves and will do whatever is best for them.

Honest question, could SkyWest do that with the 15 year agreement that came with the sale of ASA, or would it not make any difference?

It'll be interesting to see what the agreement states as far as ASA is concerned. Do they mean ASA the certificate or ASA the company?

Also in bankruptcy(sp) everything is negotiable......
 
This is why lists need to be merged by DOH.

Even if fences are put up to prevent any intermingling between the systems, we need to have one list to prevent this crap.
