Folks, in spite of what one or two flamebaiters, who have no clue are saying on here, Skywest is not flying the U.S. Air stuff at a loss. Skywest doesn't have nor has ever had planes that were mothballed. Skywest has sold off planes that they owned outright or gave back planes when their leases were up. Skywest got great deals from other regionals who had planes that were mothballed. Yes, it's costing them money to retrofit the planes with ACARS, etc but that's pocket change to Skywest. I think Skywest's record on making money speaks for itself.
