No excuse to not have industry leading contract with a merger of 3 companies and 7,000 pilots! All skywest/asa/xjt pilots must stand up and start racing to the top, not racing to the bottom!!

Sounds great. This offline pilot wishes good luck and is also looking forward to having upward races with other airliens.

There is no excuse for skw pilots to have an industry leading contract...except that they are non-union.

Who said they would combine any of us if any of this were true?
The XJT pilots' contract

If any part of this rumor is true, get used to having your contract broken. Grieve it.

We have already been getting used to our contract broken lately. But if skw attempts what you seem to be alluding to, it would amount to a major dispute (rather than a minor dispute in which the courts have said must be dealt with thru the grievance process). This would probably land in some federal district judge's court in order to enjoin skw to comply with the clear and inambigious intent of the scope and holding letter.

In any case, there is no need for you to be rude about it.

If it happened, could SKW merge you into ASA on their own certificate and keep you away from SKW itself?

I'm former XJT and don't have a copy of the contract available, but if I remember it correctly, it is very clear that SKW will have to merge all seniority lists with the XJT seniority list. It plainly states that any acquisition requires the seniority lists to be merged in order to go forward. It's a good thing that Neal and others were thinking ahead when they negotiated this contract.

No, sorry, only ASA is buying ExpressJet. Not SkyWest. Thanks for playing.

LOL. Nicely played. The boys over at SKW inc are real sharp. Figured out how to circumvent that by just replacing SKW inc, with ASA. There goes the "ASA can't buy anyone" theory!

But all the FI MBA/CEO's said ASA couldn't buy anyone...only INC could...What happened?

They are experts I tell you! Experts! The negative nancys also preached how the super regional aspirations and rebranding were all a pipedream to keep moral up. What say you now?! LOL!

Why are people so proud to say ASA is buying ExpressJet? Just because some people said that couldn't happen? Seems that the decision to "let" ASA buy ExpressJet was made try to avoid combining lists!! This is not a good thing people. I would feel better about 7,000 over 4,000 strong!! Point being it seems that it is going to have to be battled out in court?
