Even if you don't agree with the skybus concept how can you cheer for their demise. More unemployed pilots. Shame on you!!!!

They might have been licensed to operate aircraft, but they most assuredly were not Pilots.

That said, when I was fired there were a couple companies I didn't even consider, simply because I have enough self-esteem not to whore myself out. Skybus was on that list.

It doesn't matter how cheap the wage you take, it's not going to help your carrier survive, it's not going to last, and you only screw everyone else over.

Those of you who are bashing PCL are taking a cheap shot based on his background and refusing to acknowledge the fact that the pilots at Skybus screwed everyone.

Just because you don't like PCL doesn't mean that his message is any less truthful; taking a job at Skybus is indefensible, say what you will.

Here's hoping next time they won't try to short-change the system and screw everyone else in the process.

Yes, they talked to me about a St. Captain gig and was being oblique about the money. When they told me what they paid Captains, I laughed and turned on a heel. I was at their first Air Inc. conference. SkyBus was very poorly prepared, tried to be hip and funny, but just came across as unprepared.

Sure, I have sympathy for the pilots, but who in their right mind would have went to work there?

I guess instead of worrying about crews drinking too much water, there were other things that SkyBus management should have focused on, eh?

As for the former VP Operations Sittig, how do you like him telling employees to support the new President, while he bailed and the airline went bankrupt? Some leadership? "Out of Step" how about running out the door.....

There are no bulletproof airlines out there. Unless their planes are painted orange and have a born and raised in Jersey chain smoking wild turkey drinking Ivy League lawyer executive chairman who can successfully pull off the good 'ol southern boy image.

Uhhh, yea. That's the image I saw on CNN yesterday when he was trying to explain why required mx hadn't been done on 80+ aircraft while at the same time several Dallas FISDO inspectors were pointing out that WN management told them they could have them "gone" by the end of the day if they didn't sweep it all under the rug. Real nice. I wonder how those guys feel about all that WN "LUV"?
