The anonymous nature of this board tends to bring out the worst in people I believe. 95 percent of the guys at NJA are great guys who wanna get the job done in the funnest possible way, then get home an see their familys. While I have had a few occasions of NJI guys and superior attitudes, I can say the 90 + percent were good guys.

B-I-N-G-O!

We have a winner, now please shut this thread down.

Wow, where may one find you so that they may fall down on their knees and give great homage to your greatness. It would be an honor and privelege to give so much honor to one as honorable and great as yourself. I'm sure I would weep if I was just to stand in the presence of your greatness. Thank you for allowing me to experience such a wonderful account of your greatness before my end days. Now I feel my life might be complete. Thank you for speaking from your...uh I mean, coming out of your hole to bestow such great drops of wisdom upon us before retreating back into your partners..uh I mean residential hole.

I laughed...then paused...then laughed again...now we know the individual responsible for referring SEASPRAY to NJI HR. LMFAO !!!!!!!

THIS is the VERY reason, responding to one of these posts with ANY amount of thought or effort, is such a dang waste of time. Please don't get me wrong, this is STILL a very "entertaining" place to lurk and respond with light banter every once in awhile.

ABSOLUTELY...unbelievable....BUT TRUE....LOLOLOLOL !

Wow.

LMAO AGAIN ! My stomach hurts... giggle.

Looks like we found one of CE750Driver's NJA 10 percenters who won't fit in over at NJI, the giggling TurboJetCpt. With that attitude he might get a Gulfstream type courtesy of the Teamsters, but he better plan on staying at NJI, because he will never get a Gulfstream position anyplace else.

You know, TurboJetCpt, you have to be able to respect yourself before you can respect anyone else or anything else. Work on improving your self esteem and perhaps once you've come to respect yourself, you'll be able to offer others the respect they've earned.

I have always believed respect to be a two-way street. No way anyone is going to respect you if you talk down to people.

I guess its time to come out of my hole and respond again...we just had an earlier lesson about respect for one's employer...this morning's lesson will be what to address the airplane as...its not a "G". its not a "G-Whiz", and definately not a "G-String"...you wanna be the laughing stock in Flight Safety while in GIV Initial...just refer to this airplane as a "G"...It is simply a "Gulfstream"...there are many models and each has its level of respect...those of us lucky enough to be hired early in the Gulfstream Program at EJI (now NJI) had mountains of experience in most models of the Gulfstream. I for one have over 7500 hours in Gulfstreams, and I am a newbie by a lot of standards...it is an honor to fly this airplane..what other civilian plane can have nearly the same performance (lightly fueled) as a F4 Phantom II??? And I know that to be true as I flew the Phamtom for 10 years also...so yes most of the NJI guys have more time taxiing a Gulfstream than most of the young whippersnappers that are rabble rousing here on this bulletin board!! Get some respect and you will rightly get it in return!

Wow.....what a tool.

Wow you must be a dream to fly with. Jesus is it time to change your colostomy bag yet?

Me starring out the window as the guy with bifocals the size of coke bottles stares at the fms trying to remember what he was typing in.

Pee Ess what is this the 50's? Who uses whippersnapers? Christ before you know it he's talking about the good old days when women wore pointed bras and one piece bathing suits.

Why do I bother even trying...

Got me....

I don't know why this string was so funny, but I was ROFLMAO for sure. Can't wait to get back to the FBO and ask someone about the "G" that they're flying. Maybe I'll run into the Great Captain.

Oh we'll be there. And we'll make sure we can walk on water and shoot lightning bolst from our eyes so we are worthy of flying the Lord God Plane.

The NJAers are coming. The sky is falling.

You don't have to worry about us Gulfstream pilots talking to you in the FBO's. We can tell "little" airplane pilots a mile away.

AND... We can recognize other Gulfstream pilots by the look in his eye. The slight, natural swagger and the way his pants are tailored to show off his rock hard buttocks and the bulg...

Holy $h!t! I've been watching too many reruns of 'Will and Grace'!

The FUNNY thing about this whole thread is that you actually BELIEVE that I give 2 SH1TS about getting a gulfstream type rating OR that I, or MOST OF US, would even THINK about bidding for it. Get over YOURSELVES and get over your VERY STRANGE obsession with a hunk of metal that flys. Stop writing dissertations on the proper way to address your airplane...stupid. It isn't even a BIG airplane...oh wait, compared to an Ultra it is...forgot. You look absolutely RIDICULOUS....GET A HOLD OF YOURSELVES PEOPLE !

"It's just another airplane...it's just another airplane...it's just another airplane...come on, sing with me people, IT'S JUST ANOTHER dang AIRPLANE..."

Simply amazing...

Listen to THIS guy... PLEASE, take your own advice. Just do a search of your own threads and adjust your own attitude. You have repeatedly convinced the VAST majority of folks here that you are a loud mouthed, ignorant, offensive, MORON.

Get over yourself and accept the fact that you aren't Chuck Yeager...oh wait, he only had a HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA..."his kind" wouldn't measure up to your vast command of "everything you survey"...(referring to an earlier post, where you denegrated Army Warrant Officers as uneducated and unworthy). I was NOT a WO but I am certain you will say the wrong thing to the wrong person one day and get a size 12 Army WO boot up your "self-loving" retired O6 ass...COLONEL ! Now stop giving military pilots such a bad name and please just be...silent. What a tool.

Hey I fly G's and I agree with TuboCaptain...

I'm also a retired Army Warrant with a BS and MS... I wear a size 10.5 boot- that should work... Retired with 7800 hours, Rotary-wing 3100, Fixed-wing Turbo props 3150 and 1550 jet.. Big freaking deal!!!!

Who really cares what happens to NJI.. Hopefully when I wake up in the AM RTS has sold them down the river... Maybe they will get those 100 VLJ's NetJets has been keeping closes to their chest.. Who really cares..

I meet allot of NJI guys who are good people, its a shame that little 89th click has produced so many bad apples. Maybe it was the water...

Grow up.... It's over...

By the way- Good Luck to all at NJI........

Verily I say unto you, go forth and bid the Lord God Bird......

And thou shalt be a great eagle with great wings, long winged, full of feathers, which hath divers colours, come unto Okatie and take the highest branch of the cedar;

Say now unto the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? Behold, the king of Columbus is come to Okatie, and hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Columbus.

From my history concerning RLO's is the only time they generally really liked or even tolerated us CWO's was when we were flying them out of some craphole situation they had gotten themselves into:) Actually I think they were really envious because we didn't play their silly little one upsmanship games to get promoted. All we had to do was show up ontime, leave ontime and shoot the "correct" targets. I know the last part is very difficult to do from a Gulfstream...

Never slap the hand that feeds you or you may go hungry for a long time.

Yes, no offense SafetyTheSeat, but why, when you have 1550 hours in Gulfstreams, would you go to an organization with no Gulfstreams?

For the same reason I have a whole logbook full of international DC10 time, but fly for Netjets...a combination of 9/11 and hiring fortune, or misfortune, depending on how you look at it, opportunity, and most importantly, TIMING. Nothing more, nothing less.

Good question. There's always been a shortage of qualified Gulfstream captains, but it's worse now.

For instance, Bank of America looked for two GV captains for nearly two years before partially filling their requirements by hiring an FSI GV instructor. It took Oprah a year to find Felix, then three more to find her most recent hires, Ken and Terry. Simon Bros. has experienced difficulties finding Gulfstream captains to man their new aircraft. American Express, last time I checked, had an open billet for a G-IV captain. Avjet always has an open requirement for Gulfstream captains and the employee who recruits one gets a $2500 finders fee.

NJI has recently hired two pilots I know who are G1159 only and has in some cases had to waive their 500 hours in Gulfstream requirement entirely. Even Gulfstream Flight Operations can't find qualified Gulfstream pilots - their most recent hire was a USAF tanker driver.

I'm sure that if he was flying tanker's he's qualified to fly your G's. ;)

Come on guys. It's another plane. Pull back, cows get small, push forward, cows get big.

I get it, Captain. You sound like a former Army Warrant Officer with a high school education and a built-in resentment for Commissioned Officers who's just all giddy to be flying something where the wings don't move faster than the fuselage. Give it a break, Chief.

Got a little Warrant envy there Colonel? The W1's and W2's bagging all the flight time, while you fly the desk?

Pull back farther, the cows bet bigger again...

You miss the point, Hogprint. The Gulfstream Flight Operations Manual states that pilots will be rated and hired in the following Categories:

Category I - Experienced Gulfstream Pilots

Category II - Experienced Transport Pilots

Category III - Experienced Pilots

If Category I pilots are available, that's what the company is to hire. By the Manual, upgrade times will be 2 to 4 times longer for category II pilots, and Flight Ops needs functioning pilots as soon as possible.

In any event he won't fly a real Gulfstream for years. New hires at Gulfstream who are not Gulfstream rated (with the exception of experimental test pilots) go first to the Airborne Product Support G100, then progress through the Israeli Products Department before flying the Gulfstreams.

Gulfstream used to hire only Gulfstream Captains, but it's been years since the company has been able do that.

Part of the reason, I suspect, is compensation. At Gulfstream, unrated FO's start at $80K, average captain pay is $125K and tops out at about $155K (with a defined benefit pension plan), while many industry positions pay over $200k.

My service doesn't have aviation warrant officers. I did get my joint service block colored in with the Army, though. You're partially right about why I'm planning to leave the military. This will probably be my last cockpit assignment for a while. Even if I go back to my weapons system, it is not well suited for an easy transition to civilian flying.

Once again the rantings and ravings of a mad man!! Did you not take your meds?? Or maybe "the small man" problem...or is it " you like gladiator movies"? In any case the ravings that you put to print show your true character...I have not defamed anyone here...I fly airplanes as a passion...not a job...any idiot can fly a plane...but one with true passion in aviation is a pilot...you sir are nothing but a "truck driver"!!
