I don't tink we'll see anything until late in the day, after the MEC has carefully inspected it. Then they will put some spin on it for damage control and finger pointing. Protecting some very important ALPA careers.
If it's good you will see Dave Steven's in front of all the local news outlets surrounded by his ring kissers and boot lickers hoping to ride the gravy train to Herndon or ATL. If it's not good, they have all the usual suspects - those who did not kiss His ring, or dared to question His wisdom - to blame. I'm sure they are working on parallel communiques as we speak
I wonder if they will ask him AGAIN "Do you remember being told there would be possible furloughs at NWA?"
Just can't resist a chance to be an a$$hole, can you?
We will see if you will be like that when you are in person with NWA pilots. My bet is that you shut the hell up like the coward you probably are.
Regardless, this will all be over tomorrow. Can't wait.
I doubt this. I am sure if y'all make out , you will be a petty jagoff like you normally are. Like I said, you are probably a big talker online and a big ************************* in front of others.
BTW, where's all that growth you were telling us we should be so happy about?

I will be a coward around NWA guys? I will be the captain, so it shouldn't matter. And did Stevens say that or not? I guess I can look at the transcripts to find out......Hey, I trust people in high positions just like you do. Like President Clinton-- "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman...." If Stevens didn't recall that memo, then I believe him.......really, he was under oath, so I believe him. He just didn't recall it, that's all.
As far as making out in the SLI, it should be fair. Your age difference is made up by your frozen pension. Then it comes down to what we each bring, and we bring more. You can't deny that---our pay rates are higher and we bring more widebodies. You make fun of our 757s, but we aren't parking as many as you are, and now your 757s pay what our 767s do. You are welcome for that. How many 757s do we have? 120? How many lower paying DC9s do we have now?Yeah.... and how are cargo 742s doing these days? Have you looked at what Connie Kalitta is doing? Parking a lot of his 742s, along with Evergreen. You are bringing old 742s, and old DC9s. Keep brushing that aside, you really are trying hard to. Where is your expansion? And are you SURE you are bringing 30 more DC9s out of the desert? I am waiting....... And, I can't wait to walk into the MSP or DTW crew lounges and say hi to everyone there. I am the tall skinny guy that looks like Lerch. I'll also be wearing my hat---hopefully you will too. Can't wait...
Bye Bye--General Lee
If they don't release the info to you guys on both sides, at the same time, as a unified and joint venture, they are just asking for USAir type behavior to ensue.
Not to mention if they DON'T do it that way, regardless of what one side or the other plans to spin it as, SOMEONE will be first and it will be from THAT first "spin" that people get their info.
Just release the list to the people tomorrow, then present a UNIFIED face or you are asking for history to repeat itself, bigtime.
PS-- Good luck to you all...hopefully all the "kum-bay-ya" wasn't for naught, and you can all do as was intended once the arbitration has come down, and put your differences aside, become ONE airline with NO hierarchy, and strive to be one light in the whole mess of an industry.

Thank you!

You never did connect the dots, but you were the inspiration for my new avatar....
Can you do everyone a favor and STFU!
Thank you!

I love you guys!

Never been a factor in an arbitration award. You lose! You better hope that your merger committee came up with a better argument than that.Your age difference is made up by your frozen pension.
Then it comes down to what we each bring, and we bring more.
our pay rates are higher and we bring more widebodies.
All happened after the merger announcement, will not matter to the arbitrators, just like anything after April. You lose! You make fun of our 757s, but we aren't parking as many as you are, and now your 757s pay what our 767s do.
How many lower paying DC9s do we have now?
and how are cargo 742s doing these days?
READ THIS REAL SLOW. ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO A FLEET AFTER THE MERGER ANNOUNCEMENT HAS NEVER, EVER BEEN A FACTOR IN AN ARBITRATION AWARD.You are bringing old 742s, and old DC9s. Keep brushing that aside, you really are trying hard to.
Where is your expansion?
.
Yup
Never been a factor in an arbitration award. You lose! You better hope that your merger committee came up with a better argument than that.
Trying logic with GL reminds me of the "Pig Wrestling" analogy.
Yeah, it usually only takes him two sentences to go into his "old airplane" rant. I guess he doesn't like airplanes that have a CSM of .06 or so.
With fuel so low, we should be screaming to bring more out of the desert, park RJ's, and get more money for our Delta.
My impression is GL wants to see DC9 and 742's parked just to ensure the upper hand in SLI, never mind the revenue for the DAL mothership (and turning back the clock on RJ creep). As if the $$ they can generate is not as green as that of a 767. I'm glad most of the DAL guys I run into do not share his sentiment.
Wearing your hat in the crew lounge......yup,....that's about what I thought..And, I can't wait to walk into the MSP or DTW crew lounges and say hi to everyone there. I am the tall skinny guy that looks like Lerch. I'll also be wearing my hat---hopefully you will too. Can't wait...

Meaning more airplanes that make less money than NWA's, that would be correct.
Umm, we get paid the same last time I looked. Again, never been a factor in an arbitration award. You lose!
All happened after the merger announcement, will not matter to the arbitrators, just like anything after April. You lose!
They pay the same as the MD-88 almost. We have around 70, I think. Making a ton of money for Delta. You're welcome.
Doing well, with the current contracts. Making money for Delta. Do you not like making money for our company?
READ THIS REAL SLOW. ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO A FLEET AFTER THE MERGER ANNOUNCEMENT HAS NEVER, EVER BEEN A FACTOR IN AN ARBITRATION AWARD.
Where is yours? I heard "WE" are cutting capacity by 5-10%. This merger was in the works for at least 2 years and the arbitrators are well aware of this.
Bucky:First of all I find it very funny that many times in the past you have jumped on the wagon when someone stated that "it has never been used in arbitration before" NWA guys jumped the fact that no matter....it still isn't right. Now you use the excuse.
Also (NWA) had nothing to do with....yes nothing to do with setting up our loa19 that set the bar that you guys passed with something like 80 something percent....and now you want credit for the pay that WE set up for the 9's and how close they are in pay to the 80's.....the ...."um we get paid the same".....and the making a TON of money for Delta with the 9's...dude get a grip. Ton of money for Delta. Your pay scales you just got....you can thank Delta guys....if not for our doing you would still be hanging out to dry. Ton of money you are making...there isn't an airplane in this world making a ton of money. Back to reality for you my friend.

Bucky:
Really, try not to post drunk. Kay?
Or maybe your sending this from your deerstand and your fingers are frozen. Either way, it's non-sensical, rambling, multi-colored garbage.
First of all, ask your children to proof read Daddy's post before you hit the submit button. Periods, commas, quotes are very useful when used correctly.
Now, If I remember correctly, LOA 19 was DALPA's "we are going to get our's" , regardless of the NWA pilot's. The NWAAPLA Negotiating committee then had to go and deal with DAL management to get ours. Yes, DALPA was watching on the sideline, but agreeing to LOA 19 without the NWA pilots was just the beginning of DALPA's idea of fair. Kind of like handing us the joint contract and saying, "oh, by the way, here is the seniority list".
I will thank the NWA Neg. committee for getting me my little raise, but thanks for playing. DALPA had very little to do with it.
Sorry Sparky, NWA's old DC-9's currently have the lowest CSM than any other jet in the fleet.

And yet stupidity and lack of content doesn't stop you from hitting the submit reply key!First of all, ask your children to proof read Daddy's post before you hit the submit button. Periods, commas, quotes are very useful when used correctly.
You remember incorrectly, but that hasn't stopped you from sounding stupid in the past, so why stop now. Now, If I remember correctly, LOA 19 was DALPA's "we are going to get our's" , regardless of the NWA pilot's.
The spin machine is alive and well. You guys and this constand babbling BS is entertaining. I can understand your fear junior. I'd be scared if I was junior too.The NWAAPLA Negotiating committee then had to go and deal with DAL management to get ours. They also have the shortest future and they lowest pay. When they go, you go!Sorry Sparky, NWA's old DC-9's currently have the lowest CSM than any other jet in the fleet.
We were not going to wait for our chance to be gone because of you. You are right we went and got ours.
If it wasn't for the DALPA MEC you would have a lot less.
Also you must have forgotten how many times we tried to work with you guys until you played the arbitrate card.
You are getting closer to a complete sentence, but not quite. Anyway, you do realize that you got LESS with LOA 19 than was agreed upon earlier by both MEC's. That's when Moak tried to "slip" in the seniority list, that nobody in their right mind would have agreed to. That is the factual history of how the two groups ended up here.
Our heroes.
Working with and screwing are two different things, at least for some. I'll leave General Lee's wife out of this.![]()
