I had an interview with them scheduled for Nov. Fortunately I got an offer from a much better place, so I didn't have to go to Indy. Good luck to all the captains who will be single pilot with the low timers they are going to hire!

XJT? I had an interview lined up with them in Mar05 luckily I got an offer from CHQ, so I didn't have to go to IAH.
Whew..Good luck to all the Capts that will be single pilot with all the low timers STILL getting hired at XJT/ASA/TSA/9E/Colgan/Mesa/PSA/OH.
And who do YOU work for again??????????????????????????
Who???
Pinnacle, you say?
I like it when Pinnacle people make mention of hiring "qualified candidates" - reminds me of the situation you guys had, when you hired all those PFT pukes, then you had to hire street captains because those A-holes didn't have enough PIC time in ANYTHING!!
No, a non 121 gig! I only posted that because I knew you guys would sprout wood and have to defend the wonderful operation that is Republic Holdings. Thanks for the entertainment.
The 1500 is now waiveable if you have 121 experience. They won't put you on the 170 though if you have less than 1500.
Most of the new hires do a nice job and are very eager to learn. Biggest issue I've seen is radio phrasiology, believe it or not. Not just talking, but listening. Most are not familiar with or prepared for Class B airport chatter and etiquette (or lack of it), i.e., LGA, EWR, or ORD styles. Especially when the frequency is crowded.

Yep. Sure did.Did you make the jump?
Yep. Sure did.
What this looks like is a ploy to attract more/better candidates in their new hire classes. Promise the moon to get people on the property then not deliver on the back side. By then its to late for the employee.
1000 new pilots is about 100 new airplanes. If they started taking deliveries today they would have to take delivery of over four airplanes per month for the next 23 months to meet that target. Considering that there is nothing substantial already in place (and there won't be for at least several more months) this looks like total BS.
oh yeah, i forgot. where are they going to find that many spineless whores?
Over two years, yes I could see that much attrition. I have moved up over 120 spots in one year. And the rate is growing.
Did you make the jump?
According to their press release the new aircraft are: 24 CRJs, 17 170s, 30 175s. That makes 71. Assuming 10 crews/plane, I don't know what the other 290 would be for. Attrition maybe? Is there much attrition at RAH?

Are you sure you didn't mean 10 crewmembers per aircraft?????? 5.5 crews per plane is the norm....
