Ah shux, is that all ya got? Lol We are in negotiations now. Remember that our getting the 190's was something we got much later after our old contract was negotiated. Nevermind, that we put those 190's on our cert flying our own branded schtuff. I would see your point if these two factors were not in place. How bout getting past your very evident envy and hope that we do good in our negotiations and set a bar for others to follow. I don't know what airline you fly for, but you would be in the same exact situation had your company done this. We only can do what we can do and we are in the process of that now. I, as every pilot I know here, have not bid for any 190 flying. The company had to displace for the 190. Sure, there are a few on every cert that just does not get it, but I can't defend them. That is something they will have to contend with. Wish us luck and, of course, we appreciate the solidarity.

Our "own" branded stuff? hahaha Your flying my branded stuff. Does it say much that a first year FO at Midwest made more than any Republic FO?

Wait until your jerking gear for a 18 year pissed off Midwest guy. I worked with some of those heathen Harley riding guys, you're in for a treat. Amen brother, AMEN.

And I mean that with utmost respect for the former Midwest guys. Some of whom were flying for Eastern, Midway and Pan Am long before Bedford graduated from FSU.

The Midwest F/A's sued today. Heres to hoping for their success in crippling Republic.

If there is such things as a god or "God", I can assure you he is not talking to B Bedford. Do you actually think B Bedford even believes in God? He is a scumbag. Nothing less and nothing more.

The flying spaghetti monster talks to Bedford. Thats why he has a noodle brain.

How about the branded flying operation numbers?

Branded RASM: $0.0953
Branded CASM: $0.1113
Branded capacity: 3.7 Billion ASMs

Numbers indicate the branded operation cost Republic about $60 million while the fixed fee per departure made Republic about $20 million. Maybe branded flying in competition with the other LCCs and legacies is a little tougher than Beford initially thought.

I remember looking at their financials for the first 9 of '09 (before the addition of the F9 airbus) where their RASM was well below their CASM for the 37 aircraft in MKE.

I remember thinking that fuel going from 1.60's to 2.25/ gal. would make it hard for them to turn a profit on the branded stuff even with the addition of Frontier's 50 aircraft, but wow...$60 mil...did those numbers include any write offs or was that strictly from the operation?

There was a total of $22.6 MM in non recurring items included in the branded loss. There was an additional $5.5 MM line item attributed to severe winter storms.

I am not trying to shine up the pig, it was a bad quarter, but there were several non-operational write-offs.

One big question mark on the consolidated balance sheet is the monster "other". First Quarter 2009 had a $33 MM "other" expense, first quarter 2010 had a $81.5 MM other expense, a 146% increase.

Also, the branded CASM of 11 cents is a bit scewed due to the fact that 11 EMB 135-145s that previously were considered fixed-fee are now being considered branded. The planes will eventually get parked and the CASM will return to "normal". The days of sub six cent casm for the brand are over due to the high cost of operating the 170-190s.

A "noodle brain" he may indeed have, but a peek in his wallet will show he's richer than you will ever be.....Unless you win a lottery. If you're so smart, why aren't you rich ?

Problems will start once there code shares end with some of the Mainline Carriers. As long as they continue to codeshare then they'll make money. But once they start competeting with these airlinelines those contracts once up probably won't be renewed.
As a stand alone, in this day and age ask Virgin America. Richard B is pumpin' so much damn money into that, and Republic doens't have those pockets.

Could be wrong, but its gonna be tuff. Also Republic Pilots will wanna be compensated better I'm sure. Anyway, good Luck.

Someone list examples of other careers (besides this one of course) where people belittle and wish bad upon others.

Lawyers.
Businessmen on Wall Street.
Morticians.
Con men.
Politicians.

Just a few that come to mind.

Oh, forgot Fox news and Rush Limbaugh. Those guys are always "happy".

He can be rich all he wants, he's still a ******************************. If he truly believes in the pope, he is an idiot too.

and BTW my wallet does fine. We can compare mine to yours if you wish. "Noodle brain" seems to limit your size.

Q:What are their debt ratios?

A: The higest in the industry

I personally feel Republic had some grand plans that on paper look great. In execution they will fail. Maybe not the beginning of the end but the Republic today will not be the same in 5 years

I feel the same about Allegiant.. Niche flying three days a week on paid for gas hogs is fine but trying to grow into a 24/7 airline changes the rules

My prediction is that within a year or two he will looking to dispose of the branded side of the operation (Frontier) and return to what he understands, i.e. subcontracting. He's operating in shark infested waters now; AirTran and SWA aren't going to give him any breathing room so he can learn to operate an actual airline. He is going to squander the profits from the FFD side of the operation to fund losses on the branded side. I think we will be looking at a sale, merger, spinoff or bankruptcy of Frontier at some point. The troubles are just beginning for this guy, he's in way over his head.

Of course, I hope you are wrong, but I do see alot of reality in your prediction. Consider this too. There Will be other regionals that start to do the same thing.

In this market? With this last merger announcement and the positive outcome of the dal/nwa conglomerate why would you think that? Stick to what you know or can prove!
The Earth wasn't created in seven days and is not three thousand years old thumper! Don't be too fanatical either it makes you a hypocrite, d!psh!t !

You forgot fat, white, smoker and bald. In addition usually homophobic but secretly has a same sex relationship. Extremely outspoken about taxes though you pick and choose when and which you pay. Which amounts to little and rarely. Complain consistently about fuel prices but you drive a Suburban around though you have no wife, children or passengers in your vehicle except for that occasional secret fella I mentioned previously. Complain about drug users though you are addicted to nicotine, caffeine, sucrose, deep fried food and alcohol.

Hahahahahah

Don't forget porn.............

lol Dip********************? Lighten up Francis! lol These comments would never be made face to face. Amazing how kids act on message boards.

Bedford has become rich from taking advantage of other people.

It's sad to see how many of his employees think he is the best thing since sliced bread. This guy reminds me of another airline CEO, Lorenzo. You guys better wake up, or you will be the next Midwest!

Do you really want to risk your salvation by taking cheap shots at God? At least you spelt God with a capital G so I guess I can give you that. What is it exactly that you have against God? For that matter, what is it you have against BB? You hate him for? If you insist on hating people, focus your energy on the Expressjet operation that undercut others to fly.

Ha ha ... Speaking of undercutting..... You should look in the mirror sir. Get off you're high horse while your at it, some shady ******************** going on over there with that E190. Oh yeah God Bless You. Praise 6lb 8 ounce Baby Jesus.

Cheap yes, as all regionals are. That's why airlines go with these companies. Cheapest? Uh no. I believe there are a good amount of same seat airplanes flying around with a much worse contract. Your argument would suggest any 76 seat airplane would be included in your statement, but you forget that it is because of ALL regional airlines that the industry is the way it is. That includes 50 seaters! Expressjet anyone? I wish those mainliners would have held onto scope. We would all be in better shape.

Who else flies 100...er...99 seat airplanes for Republic rates/work rules?

But that is the biggest plane they have. I am not defending them. Someone asked a question and I would not say US has better rates. Both are extremely bad.

Republic USAIRWAYS
CA $64-119 $79-95
FO $23-37 $41-52
