Still don't know why the Midwest pilots didn't just declare a strike the day after the original "code share" ageement was announced. Seems to me they facilitated their airline being converted to regional status (at least in wages) by dutifully working right up until assimilation is complete. I know there was some promises about bringing on the midwest pilots as the 190 operators, but that seems to have been just a farce to keep operations running as the transformation was underway. Have fun looking for a job now.....

They were promised they would get the 190's if they agreed to max out their captains at $78/hour and first officers at $37/hour. This is why the Midwest pilots hate the Republic pilots so much.

I would hate more how the company handled everything that led to this mess. But, to each their own, I guess.

So if UAL, DAL, ect. cancel the contracts with RAH then UAL, DAL will be stuck with the lease payments on the EMB's? I bet big money that Skywest or others right now are writing training manuels, ect. Then UAL, DAL, ect. still has the feed and RAH is out of money makers.

RAH buys their own aircraft and does not allow the partners to control them. So no one but RAH would be stuck with the leases.

Uh......there was a litlle airline called Texas International and some guy whose last name started with L.

New York Air
People Express
Continental
Frontier (the original)

Any of these names ring a bell?

The multiple certificates were not what I was referring to. I was referring to the purchase of companies with narrowbody aircraft by a regional airline. All of the companies mentioned above flew 737s.

Midwest Pilots hate us and the Skyway Pilots were wondering why the hell the Midex guys did not stand up for them... Interesting.

The Skyway pilots must not know anything then. Midwest hired a great proportion of Skyway pilots and our MEC offered to TH to add EVERY single one of them to our seniority list rather than close them down.

New York Air never flew 737s, they only flew DC-9s. Sorry, guess since you seem to know 'everything' guess you also knew that but were just mistaken.

For what its worth.

PD

Hate is a very strong word. Why do mainline pilots HATE regional pilots so much?
