That's called an anecdote, and it's not going to impress an Arbitrator.

How many SWA pilots left SWA to go to UAL, CAL, Delta, American, USAir? Things change. Contracts change. The industry changes. Seniority within the list doesn't change.

And how many have left the above to come to SWA since 2004? More than a handful from what I remember

Rest easy, Ty, your seniority within your list won't change at all. You will still be senior to all the AAI guys that you're senior to now, and junior to all the ones you're junior to now. However, since your seniority on our list is exactly zero, you can rest assured that whatever seniority you end up with here will be a change for the better. ;)

Just to be honest.

When SWA came for F9. I knew my quality of LIFE and Future expectations would become MUCH better at SWA. I was a realist.

Not many people these days are honest.

On the other hand,

Give Airtran guys a break, they are holding their own. They have many airplanes, a couple great bases etc. Airtran is nothing like Frontier. Frontier was a DIE ing animal.

I'm sure most AirTran guys feel the same way. Thanks for the honesty. Too bad F9/SWA didn't work out. We would have loved to have you guys as brothers. Best of luck.

PW, you are going to be the most upset of all when the list comes out, because your expectations are not in touch with reality. You might as well change your screen name now to PapaLimpy, because even the blue pill ain't gonna help you for a while.

Ty you crack yourself up, that is good have a sense of humor. I have lost some of it with this back and forth discussion for positioning of bragging rights on the internet. Last time I looked flightinfo was not going to be admissible. Lets hope you do not see Pappywoody over your shoulder asking you to grab on with both hands. Hey that was funny. Seriously, I need to detox off this stuff, and go back out into the yard and get a life.

Wow, Ty, you might want to get back on the anger meds! I try to make an attempt at a little levity, and you immediately go on the offensive. Pretty much SOP for you, though. For the record, I won't be disappointed at all with with the combined list, my seat is pretty much assured. Plus, my expectations are based on the realities of this particular situation, and let me let you in on a little secret - relative seniority is not gonna be part of the reality of this particular situation. Other than that, I don't think I've tried to do anything other than inject a little reality into these arguments. You might want to re-read your own posts and take the beam out of your own eye, before you start trying to point out the mote in mine.

Levity is humor, PapaL, and your posts aren't humorous. You're simply posturing and trying to lower expectations in an incredibly ham-handed and transparent manner.

I'm not angry, and, just like you, I don't believe my seat is in question, so we should both be happy. ;)

Oh I'm not disagreeing with you, I don't think a staple would be appropriate, either, but the acquiring company has a funny way of deciding what is "appropriate" or not...

I'm just thinking of the percentages right now, which I believe are close to what you said at first... about 1/3 would be angry, and the other 2/3 would be telling the MEC to sign it as long as there was a no-furlough clause built into it and wouldn't get irritated until a few years later when there's little upward movement and they're stuck on reserve for 3-4 years.

Do you think a fair offer is a staple with a no furlough clause? I think that would pass a vote.
