I think I owe you an apology too Clutch. I'm sorry.
Delta management put that in there, via ALPA. Do you think when they demand half-rate contracts from the other DCI carriers they will offer the same deal? Nope. This is the camel's nose under the tent. It's in.
just like a sheep Jenny, whatever the Co tells u, just like you voting to allow bigger RJs for $$$$, not only a putz but a chump as well
I truly hope you experience something worse than what we have gone through so you can maybe enlighten yourself on the decision we all had to make. ALPA was not paying my mortgage and our only choice was to have our flying be given to the same idiots who are saying we should "hold the line". The issue of this new contract is not on our backs, but on ALPA national and the mainline carrier who forced it on us. Good luck to the United regional carriers. You are next. Oh and "hold the line" jack hole.
With you on that one. About to go back to wages from 10 yrs. ago while the CEO gets to cash in. XJ was a good place to work until it got purchased by a regional that can't predict 6:00 at 5:30.I can't believe all the crap Mesaba guys have gone through in the last 10 years. Talk about a revolving sh!t storm. Time to get out! Hopefully we can.
Pncl, gojet and mesa "bargain basement" crew costs + "bigger RJs" = 717's, md88\90's etc aren't quite so profitable as one might think...at any fuel price.
Think Delta can't or won't get around mainline scope and pay rates and grow the RJ's while shrinking mainline....AGAIN?
Pilots are pathetically dumb. If alpa or any pilot group was so damn smart they'd be taking home millions with golden parachutes to leave on when they get tired of the game (their resumes and experience are totally portable)....pilots do nothing more than thump their chests while looking down on each other and telling themselves how smart they are.....chess champions vs. checker chumps
Way to go guys!
You voted overwhelmingly to lose your jobs and F your next one. Even AMR was closer than you sh!ts.
American Airlines pilots Friday approved a proposed contract with the Fort Worth-based carrier, which now has new labor deals approved by all nine of its unionized bargaining units.
The decision by Allied Pilots Association members boosts American’s efforts to settle its affairs and emerge from bankruptcy court in the first part of 2013.
The pilots on Aug. 8 had rejected a previous proposal, known as American’s “last, best and final offer,” by a 61%-39% margin. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane on Sept. 4 approved American’s request to throw out the pilots’ existing contract, a concessionary deal dating from 2003
yea PUTZ, that's why D bought more bigger RJs, you cave every time, & ohplease is right, you'll be doing more caving

nobody EVER pays list price ya'fn retard you're quotes, articles and comments are about as logical and intelligent as the radical anti-gun morons. But you keep on believing that contract "guarantee" is iron clad. Simpleton.Ummm, used MD90s are now going for $8-9 million each, including the engines. You could get 4 of those for the price of one new CR9. Management supposedly likes them for the efficiency and the performance of the MD90 is a lot like the 737-800, at a fraction of the cost.
What OhPlease doesn't seem to understand is that there is now a RATIO included in the new contract that keeps mainline flying growing, while keeping regional flying at a smaller percentage. That wasn't in any of the other contracts. Also, there are EXACT numbers of permitted RJs (of each size), and the overall number HAS TO DECREASE. Also, the new 76 seaters are tied in to the number of 717s the company gets. If the 717s aren't delivered, the new 76 seaters aren't either. I'd say that is a WIN for mainline, and the supposed 1000 new jobs coming in 2014-2015 due to the 88 717s plus 10 or so more MD90s is a WIN for people who want to go to mainline.
Here is an article talking about how much a new CR9 costs:
Bombardier gets $317M jet order

Deutsche Lufthansa AG of Germany is buying eight more regional jets from Bombardier Aerospace, the Montreal-based company said Friday.
Based on the list price for the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, the contract is valued at approximately $317 million US.
Bye Bye---General Lee
