AA717driver said:This is starting to look like another ambiguously worded contract that will end up with the company doing what it wants, the union grieving it and several years later the grievance being settled to no one's satisfaction.
AA717driver said:P.S.--Thanks, Fozzy, for clarifying your position. By any chance, were you on the APA BOD around 2000-2001?![]()
That is absolutely hilarious. The G-4 is so advanced and its mission so difficult to master that it will require 2 years IOE for any incoming Capt.......please excuse my laughter.
Geez Fozzy do you always come out swinging whenever someone has a view youFozzy said:And what do you have to base that on???
2 years IOE?!? Is it the space shuttle!?! Give it a rest. 100 hours max. Now get over it.
The question you should be asking is what of all the FO's. To stir the pot..........
My prediction is that they will see the left seat (in the G-wiz) when their DOH seniorty can hold it. In about 10-15 years.
How do like them apples.
Actually, nobody is "now on" the virtual seniority list, as it is still being worked on by the union and the company.flyjetspeed[FONT=Times New Roman said:Lastly all NJA and NJI pilots are now on a “Virtual Seniority List at NJI for all purposes for which seniority is used at NJI.” This could be construed to be the same as it always has at NJI. Seniority for the purpose of upgrade in the GIV is by date of hire IN THE GULFSTREAM regardless of previous NJA, EJM, and etc. time in service. Same for Upgrade to Captain in the GV. If it goes this way we will have the highest paid F/O’s in the world for 4-6 years.[/font]

Heavy Set said:Plus, getting that GIV/GV type rating would be quite valuable. I'm sure you could earn a pretty penny on the side with the GIV/V rating...

Living in TEB, PBI, LAS, VNY, HPN would have a lot to do with how much contract flying your willing (and offered) to do.
Now.... my turn to ask a question....
After the IBT gets its way with management, and everything goes their way; when do I get my Citation Ultra type rating so I can sling the gear for Fozzy, and Flylow. (and do anything else they tell me too).

Archie Bunker said:The key to resolving this issue will be open communications between the pilot groups, and a willingness to compromise. Believe me, a negotiated agreement is far superior to an imposed mandate of the court/mediation board.
GVFlyer said:Presently $1500.00 a day for an experienced GV/G550 Captain...
Guitar Guy said:This is not meant as a criticism, AB, but who will speak for the pilot group at NJI? They don't have a union or an association or any formal organization that I am aware of.
G100driver said:Did the NJI guy on board the "doomed" Nike jet get any extra pay for saving the day with his 3500/hour "captain."
