MGMT and q400 & q300 comments

I emailed usairways mgmt a while back and they got back to me with this email. my email was primarily about whats the deal with pdt, and are we done in 09' and any growth,. . This is what i wrote to usairways... and below is what they wrote back.... I removed the name of the person who wrote back.

Doug and many other exec's have made statements about the wholly owned
express carriers being status quo many times, recently PSA was offered 20
crj900. What has changed that the 'status quo' statement isn't true any
more. That's great news for PSA, what's with Piedmont, understandably non
disclosure issues prevent any news from being released prior to everything
being 100% completed, but how about any aircraft for Piedmont...

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately, there
isn't really anything concrete that I can share other than to note that a
detailed review of the Bombardier Q400 and Q300 aircraft (as well as
alternative next generation turboprops) is underway. This updated version of
the popular Dash 8 aircraft may in fact be a great fit in the US Airways
network. We could use this aircraft to either replace aging Dash 8s, replace
50 seat regional jets, or for growth.

While we have received many inquiries from potential new partners to operate
the Q planes as US Airways Express to date we have not engaged in serious
discussions with them. However, we will certainly talk to our wholly owned
subsidiaries first before any final decisions are made.

Please get back to me if you need additional clarification.

Translation: We will give you the same deal we gave PSA. Fly bigger aircraft for the rates you currently have or we'll give the planes to XYZ regional.

YOU GOT IT! Same play, same book, same team.

Funny they mention the 300, too- shoot, just getting a few more of those would put my raisinette brain at ease. IMHO, it's quickly overtaking the EFIS 200 as my favorite one of the three. Besides, I get 300 pay ALL the time!
