Now dont anyone get mad or try to read anything into this....its just a question; Doesn't being Jewish mean that you are not permitted to work on saturdays? is that everyone from the Jewish faith, or does that only apply to the Orthodox sect or whatever it is.

I never thought about a Jewish person as an airline pilot and the whole saturday thing came to mind, so im just curious.....and im saying so because of the tendancy for this board to get "colorful"....

OY VEY!! No Jewish Airline pilots? I am Jewish as well. I was born and raised in the South and that is as idiotic as saying "I didn't know Jews were in North Carolina." So, whoi flies for EL AL? Goy pilots? Come on get real.
As for flying on Saturdays and holidays, Rosh Hashana, YOm Kippur and Pesach (Passover) I try to bid them off. But if I have to work, I have to work. It's part of the job. If the Goy have to work on X-mas and Easter, then we have to work on our Shabbat (Sabbath -Saturdays) and holidays. I beleive a pilot tried to sue his company over this and lost. The judge who ruled this case was Jewish as well.
Anyway, I am a Southern Jew. My mezuzah on the door at my house says "Shalom Y'all". I love to eat Grits. I don't eat chopped liver of gefilte fish YUK! My Grandmother made the best brisket and kasha.

If we are to be "politically correct" (such a popular thing to be now days), then we need to have a gay pilots association, and don't forget about african american pilots, and unwed mother pilots, and lesbian pilots against nuclear war, and then married pilots with one blue eye and one green eye.

If it makes you feel any better that feeling is not specific to gentiles.

My wife is not a Jew, so the local Rabbi wants nothing to do with my family unless she decides to convert. He won't even return my emails. He went from being the nicest guy in the world when he thought we were both Jewish, to completely incommunicado after he found out she wasn't. Nice huh?

When I was looking for a church and deciding how I choose to Believe, I chose a religion that is not only easy going, but focuses on the Bible, which ultimately is the basis to all that is important. For example, my church is full of mixed families (racially as well as religious) and nobody is hung up on that. The biggest thing in my religion is recieving the word of Christ, and not worrying if all the married couples are both members of the Church.

Who is Christ?

Judaism recognizes no intermediary between God and man. The first of the 10 Commandments, "I am the Lord your God," is written with a Hebrew word that implies the a singular "your". God speaks to every person directly and says "I am accessible to you without any middle man."

Praying to the Son to get to the Father goes against one of the major beliefs of Judaism, as later codified by Maimonides: "To Him and to Him alone shall you pray directly." A Jew believes that no one else is supposed to talk for him, live for him - and certainly not die for him.

However, Jesus remains even for the Jews a great teacher of morality and an artist in parable. Jews can accept Jesus as someone who attained heavenly heights- but not as being who came down from heaven. He is for Jews to be respected as a man who lived divinely, but not revered as a God who lived humanly.

Google Maps (might be Google Earth) has a function where you could put a map on the website and allow users to "pin" their location.

I found it on a website called Daddyplace.com (its a forum for fathers to share advice etc.) They have a link at the top of the page which says "map". When you clck on it it shows a map of the planet with "pins" where every member is. If you mouse over the pin you can see details about that individual (screen-name, location, and an icon of their choosing).

That way if you get a lot of members in a geographic area they could see who each other were, send messages, or even arrange get-togethers.

He was either telling the truth and is the Son of God or the liar of all times, a heretic and someone who most certainly did not attain heavenly heights.

It was the Romans who had JC crucified. He was nailed to a cross. If the Jews would have had him executed, it would have been by stoning. So, instead of a crucifix, the goys would be wearing a stone.
