I don't think he is lacking appreciation of what he has. I think he is simply pointing out some of the many inequities there are in this country.

Well said, he is living better than 95% of the people in this country and 99.5% better than everyone on this rock. But it is not enough, because others have more, and they have not worked as hard as he has, nor are they as professional, or as well educated. Dude, you are "rich". An airline pilot making over 6 figures. Write a letter to your local paper and tell them how angry you are. The angry, pissed off, 6 figure income airline pilot. Should go over well.
