Mr. Brownie: (don't want to get personal so I won't use your real name like you do here) You must be easily threatened. How low will people go? You obviously haven't been reading many posts here.

How negative will people go?

Remember, you don't have to be part of the "once proud NWA pilot group". This is a free country.

dtw320;

Why don't you post your name, age, position? Since you are in such of
a hurry to do it for me?

Yea I thought so.

Dave B

P.S.

You can keep sending me , "I know who you are"

"we have met" b.s. in private msgs. You don't even sign them!

how do I know who you are? Do you even work at NWA as a pilot?

dbrownie,

All of the XJ and former XJ clan are really pulling for you guys.

For the pilots at NWA who think that the wrenches and stews are too high and mighty and should be replaced by foreigners and scabs......your time will soon come too. No more Guard Unit Buddies, just pure Commuter and former SCAB trash in the cockpit. As NWA mgmt has proven, the SCAB label has zero bite anymore.

Dodge:

Can you see the crap we have to put up with? We are rotting from the head down. Our own pilots are selling out each other.

If you don't agree with them they insult you and imply threats.

Look at the coolaide posts from our own pilots!!!!!

What a shame.......what has our group become....

Whatever Mr. Brownie. YOU'VE posted your name. Newsflash: the NWA pilot Seniority List is not a guarded industry secret. Anyone who posts their full name on a public forum, and then gets upset that one of over 5000 fellow NWA seniority list pilots references your age and position in an attempt to show that you are being severely over-dramatically negative, seems very thin-skinned to me.(Reference the forum rules about NOT being thin-skinned)Any one of over 5000 of us only needs a name in order to rapidly look-up everything from position and equipment preferencing to when to send the BDay card to how old you were when you were hired.

But you know that Mr. Brownie. Me thinks you didn't like the facts of my post, NOT the fact that I mentioned your age. Remember: YOU posted your name. YOU post your position with every post. What is it about your age that sends you over the edge?

MOVE ON.

Why do I keep hearing NWA pilots put the nail in the coffin with the TA when voting in an industry standard contract that was already at several other airlines?

Thats the problem and why this has gone from a good career to a crappy job...the industry standard should be A LOT higher.

Technically, in the purest form and use of the SCAB label, that is what now occupies the Northwest cockpits.

Not only has NWA management proven the SCAB label has zero bite, ALPA has done a bang up job in that respect also.

The difference is only YOU have chosen to be stupid enough to take the
time to look upimfo on me and post it on a NATIONAL web board.

You may find it funny but I don't, I am glad the moderators here are
men enough (unlike you) to correct your mistakes.

Sorry you don't like what I have to say, but you are not the only "speaker"
for thr NWA pilot group.

Seeing how quick you were to sell me out on a public forum it is no wonder
you are willing to do it to others at our group and else where.

You are a sad little man. Hiding behind you keyboard you can slander me and
make threats all day long.

Why don't you pm with your name and number so we can talk this over.

Unlike you I won't betray your name and personal imfo on a National
web board.

Mods-
I guess when DTW320 makes a serious faux pas, there is no repercussion, but a swear word gets time on the beach? I guess some pigs are more equal than others. Good luck getting people to ching out the $10 bucks.

OK DTW320, I'll modify my stance to say that the TA yes voter isn't fit to sniff the jock of the prederegulation pilot.

Dave: You have quite the reading comprehension problem don't you.
Please provide details on how you were "sold out" on a public forum. Again, Dave, the only info I posted that you had not already posted about yourself is your AGE. If that is such a sensitive topic then who is "hiding behind their keyboard"?

Slander is a serious charge, Dave. So is the charge of making threats. Back it up now. Please provide exact legal details of how I slandered you and what threats I made. I'm serious dude. Back it up or shut it up. You know you can't.

Thats hilarious "DAVE B." Read what you wrote above and try, just try to NOT see the hypocrisy. It's just too funny.

If you are so sensitive to anyone here knowing who you are then how am I hiding but you're not?

Why haven't you posted on the ALPA webboard in such a long time if you are all about full disclosure?

Respectfully, I have to disagree with your blaming of the LCC's...but....

My intention was not to "blame" the LCCs, but describe the changing dynamics in the industry. The same thing happened in the 1970s..... nobody had heard of a ""Toyota", "Subaru", or "Honda". Everbody drove big tank-like Buicks, etc that could comfortbly sleep a family of four. Then the Oil Embargo hit & the auto industry changed forever. Smaller car makers made inroads, & most of them now have assembly plants in the US now.

Same thing happened with our industry. The inefficient Legacies are like GM, & the LCCs like Honda, etc. The LCCs found a more efficient way to operate, & the Legacies had to adjust to meet the challenge. (Let's face it- NWA, UAL, etc are basicaly large LCCs).

The comment I was responding to put blame on the NWA pilots for the current situation. We did not create it, but only reacted to it.

Hopefully in your LCC blamefest that undoubtedly happens on your flightdeck you are above the select few of your brethren that deny us a ride. After all, some of us carry a furloughed ALPA card.

No blamefest at all...see above. I treat all pilots with respect, no matter who they work for. And if your Company is on the list, you're more than welcomed to ride.....ALPA card or not.

Technically, in the purest form, you don't understand the meaning of the word. A SCAB is someone who performs the struck work of another. NWA pilots are NOT doing any MX functions for the airline. YCLIU

dang this free market economy sucks.

(edit: forgot one. ship stuff with fedex? no knock to the fedex bubbas, but the pilots are the only ones in a union.)

Chef-

Out of your list, I shop at Best Buy & Office Depot, & ship FEDEX. I'm not sure what your point is & what difference it makes.

The comment I was responding to was: The crimes of the legacy MECs in allowing the situation to develop are the problem.

The dynamics of efficiency & innovation in the industry changed the situation......the Unions were only reacting to those changes.

As I suspected you would take the low road and not respond to my offer
and talk this over in private.

That is fine. You seem to have all the answers. I have wasted enough of my
time trying to deal with you and your types.

I should have seen the flame bait when I first read it. My bad.

Good luck.

Dave B

My offer still stands if you want to talk this over in private pm your
number and I'll call you on my dime.

If not do us both a favor and put me on your ignore list.

No, the definition goes much deeper than that. A true unionists, and a real union will not cross anyones picket line for any reason. Go ahead and rationalize all you want but you are all nothing but a bunch of hypocrites over there. Wit the current ALPA leadership I expected no different.

Mr. Brownstain:

Talk this over in private? Who is the one not responding to PM's that ask specific questions? It's crystal clear that you have NO answer to my specific questions and can't stand by your own posts. My questions are specific and simple. Could easily be answered via PM or post......by someone who actually has answers.

I'm still waiting for you to even HINT at how you have been "slandered" and "threatened" by my revealing your age....the only thing I divulged that you haven't yourself right here on FlightInfo. Are you in the Witness Protection Program? Novel cover they gave you there.
I should have seen the flame bait when I first read it. My bad.
Do you mean THIS?:
So Dave...you agree that the MEC will move to have our TA implemented early? You believe that's how it will work?
That was my first response to you. I went on to say that in your position you have no reason to be as clinically depressed and negative as you seem to be. Flamebait Dave? YGBSM!

Good Luck with the Insecurity/Paranoia counseling. Not sure if the new Med plan covers it or not but you REALLY need it regardless of cost.

ByeBye Brownie.

Eagleflip,

If this is now a pay site there should be no censoring or penalty box actions!!!!!!!!!!

By that rationale, I should be able to go to the movie theater, throw sh!t everywhere, talk loudly on my cell phone, and put my feet on the seat ahead of me just because I paid for a ticket.

Oh, wait...

I just hope that NWA doesn't become a SCAB airline, they have already have the mx SCABS, and next is the FA's, hopefully thet can come to come agreement

Don't forget all the IAM rampmers/ese's that jumped right in and performed struck work doing push backs that were previously mx jobs.

Riiiight....;)

Ok, no problem. Just make your suggestion to the Websitemaster and see if he goes for it. If so, I'll bow out gracefully.

Until then, please play nice...

NWA ALPA's stance has always been that a strike by any labor group is warranted only if it is in the best interest of them. As said before, NWA management and ALPA, hand in hand, will make NWA a full scab airline.

I just looked at the payscale for the NWA payscale and had to go puke. I compared 12 yr DC-9 CA pay to 5 yr CA Beechjunk pay at Netjets and am very disappointed to report that the Netjets guy has way more going for him. Sure, he will get paid 15K less per year, but he has a very fine 401K, no health costs, in the most junior aircraft and is in year 5, not maxed. Anyone who has aspirations of flying for a mainline is sick in the head. What regional CA would give up 10 years of seniority to go to a Major and top out at the same wages????

Pretty soon, the major pilots are gonna be driving down the wages of the regional guys just so management can retain their curve.

The MX were only doing pushbacks in 30 stations and thats a long antiquated practice. If it takes a mechanic to push an airplane the plane has problems and shouldn't be flying.

Dodge;

The only advantage would have been days off. Now with our company
"flexing" us up to higher hours that advantage is gone.

I don't think there will be much of a chance of some one coming here
any way. We have 9 year guys quiting to go to "greener pastures".

Hard to imagine.

Hey DB,

Quit trying to argue with the senior ding dongs. They saved their pension (well, maybe), and they'll lather themselves up into a frenzy of self-justification no matter what you say.

The TA passed 80/20 in MSP, and that's word of law, no matter what the other bases think, and that's all you need to know.

"international" pay was kept for the wide bodies, crew meals were kept for widebodies, the "premium" hotels were kept for the widebodies and you act all surprised?

Not debating that, and I agree. Fact is it was their contractual work, and was perfromed from day one of the AMFA strike by IAM rampers. The definition of a Scab is doing another groups struck work. They did. They were the only NWA group that actually Scabbed other employees contractual work.

Sure is a lot of foul smelling motor city air, alright.

Lets face it, the NWA MX guys voted for 38% of their work to be farmed out...they actually voted that in. Is not the IAM ramp guys doing the push backs a farm out?...
