Take this or leave it, but SWA pilots probably ought not post too in depth just yet. If you're compelled to post anonymously, maybe take it to pprune-
I'm sure they'll be much to talk about as a combined aviation community- but I'll be staying quiet until final findings

Seriously?

Trashing Southwest and/or SWA pilots is absolutely the the most common pastime on Flight Info. Are you new or something that you haven't noticed that? At any rate, he was talking about Southwest pilots speculating or posting inappropriate info, not about posters in general. I suppose he's concerned about liability in any possible lawsuits that might develop (your FI anonymity won't withstand legal scrutiny).

On the other hand, random knuckleheads such as yourself are free to fire away. So knock yourself out! You can probably get pointers from General Lee--he's the undisputed leader in this regard.

Here's a question that no one is asking....

At some point on the approach before 400ft, the Captain may have had some concerns as to the quality of the approach, but instead of taking control at 400ft, why not just announce "GO AROUND"? This simple command, which is written in every SOP at every airline, forces the PF to execute a go around without questions!

This is THE question begging an answer. Unless the airplane is on fire or a glider, one wonders why either pilot would attempt to salvage an unstabilized approach at 400'.

Read the facts! The airplane held for 15 minutes! Was it planned? Was the WX expected? Was the thought of fuel levels an issue? Don't speculate till we have all the facts! Leave this to the professionals to investigate!!! This can happen to any one of us...
