Here's another speculation. NJ does not want to add expenses to it's 4th quarter financial results or its year end 2013, so their qtr and year looks good to WB. Adding training costs to 2013 would not help the net income number, therefore all these expenses will wait until 2014. They plan selloff flights to cover the overage during the busy holiday season not caring if they exceed the 11 total, because they plan on the recall of some in March 2014 which is 90 days after the end of the quarter where the contracted recalls would have to take place.

deej,

sounds right

the A/C from NJE was from a guy in mgt. that is very high up so i would take it as fact. some guys at FSI also confirmed the march/april hold on things as well.

AS for sell-offs i know of 5 days NJ-MGT has placed holds on A/C. i hope they hit 11, should not be hard after 8 last time.....

Deej
Do you know this for fact or are you spectlating. Please do not think I am calling you out or anything like that I just was wondering if this is your observation or how you came up with those months thanks.

Considering he started his post with "Here's another speculation".........

Maybe old news but just heard from a good buddy last night who works in training and he told me all displacements are on hold till March or April next year. I asked why and he did not know other than speculation and I am sure we can speculate as to why as well. Anyways I just thought that was interesting, no idea what it means though.
I don't think this is true. Just saw a thread on the official board that there are 8 displacements off the X and 8 off the 400.

I haven't seen anything official so take it for what it's worth.

The bid went out. But a friend at fsi said they were on hold for training but " in a few months we are going to get slammed". His words. He is at fsi in cmh and thinks Nja is about to spool up in the spring. Not to get hopes up

I think this thread should be changed to dec 1. According to the last 4 recurrent classes the general is saying there will be staffing level anouncment in early dec. From what I am hearing though is that there going to start hiring fa's. I guess there pretty short in staffing for them. Hope everyone had a great turkey day.

I love how the posts that have a date never include the year after the date :)

right like the old story, hiring will start on Thursday, we just don't know which one. It might even start on Wednesday, a day early.

Looks like I was a month off. Any updates from the inside or guys at the top of the list. Grumbling sounds like this week?

Sounds about right.

Fly the contract. 10/250 or 15/400 or whatever it is today.

Since it's the cool thing to do I'll put my $.02 in....

January 3rd..... Multiple sources confirm...

If for some reason nothing happens on that date, then be on the look out for February 29th..... If not, I've heard rumblings from the puzzle palace about April 1st as well....

bent, lotto time?

dec 13,18 or jan 7 all sound like good days. or jan 16, good day to recall on the same day we got kicked out

personally I think that the general aka Dave Magee is full of S-it abd just running his mouth. I do not think the company has any plans to recall. Why would they, they have poilots taking extended days at record numbers and the job always seems to get done so why bother. There going to push them till they stop doing it and untill then the company has proper staffing in there eyes.

Wrong. I did the math based upon the last duty summary and the percentage of extended days is extremely small. Staffing plan is to be presented to senior management very soon. We need bodies badly.

Pervis

Thanks for the insight it's appreciated. If I may ask you who is presenting to senior management.

Thanks

DC, I don't dare provide names under the current environment, but I am genuine in my assessment. Very senior folks are presenting a new plan to the senior on high very soon. What he does with it is another story.

Frankly, it would not surprise me to bring everyone back in a less than veiled attempt to obtain more votes for a less than equitable successor CBA. Keep in mind our current CBA staffing mins are less than half of what any major air carrier has. How we can operate at all when we reach peak a/c availability is beyond me.

PS: We expect delivery of 2-3 dozen new jets next year, and similar amounts for the next 7 years. Disposals are being delayed. All positive with a seriously brighter outlook.

I guess if we keep saying "Oh yeah I know a guy......my sources say.......etc........" that eventually it'll stick.

I have never spread any rumors on this forum, and would not say a word if I were not confident in my source, who happened to tell the other 59 pilots in recurrent last Thursday at Bridgeway, all at the same time.
