What a shame. We have one of the best flying jobs in the world, and y'all are going to screw it up.

Correction...had one of the best flying jobs.....Management is screwing it up..

As to your following post. Yes the economy is tough, jobs are tough. Many of the 495 are still outta work. But ya know what? Even those guys are saying "NO" to this absurd demand from management.

On the other hand, many have found work also. Personally, I found a job that pays more, works less, and allows me to be home more.

The one and only reason I want to come back to NJA is to live where I want. Unfortunately there is not a whole lot of aviation opportunities where I'm from. But I'll stay where I'm at for as long as it takes, maybe forever, if it means being able to look ourselves in the mirror.

You see, I have a spine and am very passionate about my fellow co-workers.

I think G4 is managment or closely tied to management.. Probably a personal "friend" of the idiots at Bridegway...

His posts, and his history of posts dating back 6+ years have never been positive about the Union. Almost all of his posts are focused around '05 and '11......

Let G4 be in his "Wet Dream" and the rest of us will make sure that he and his "FEW" buddies on the "G WIZ" will get voted against during the next contract negotiations.

How many G Wiz pilots are there? How many NJA Pilots are there?

G Wiz boys don't stand a chance of getting something passed in the next contract.

Sorry but numbers are numbers.

What has changed at Netjets that it is all the sudden a bad place?? Other than layoffs, how much paycut, reduced days, lesser crew meals or hotels have you endured?? Just curious why all the whining when NOTHING has changed other than your perception of what might happen.

The only thing that changed, in my opinion, is that the Union got them all stirred up over an inconsequential issue. The sheep are stampeding. Which is fine, but they want to take those of us who do not want to damage the company along with them.

I don't have any friends at Bridgeway. I would not be interested in management at all, would end up with ulcers if I tried to do that kind of job. I am ex charter, ex corporate, who loves flying for NJA. Getting kinda tired of the union, though. I am a normal NJI guy and my opinions are shared by most of us on the large cabin Gulfstreams. We despise unions and the behavior of the members. Not due to ulterior motives, but because we look at things differently than you. I am anti union because I am a capitalist, not because I am evil or dishonest. By the way, my opinions about unions began when I was 7, when my Dad's employer, Delta, had it's ticket counters next to Eastern's, and I witnessed the union workers there perpetually at war with their employer. I thought it bizarre, even at such a young age. I still think union crazies exhibit sophomoric, destructive behavior, and my membership in NJASAP has not disabused me of that notion, unfortunately.

I do so enjoy the threats. They confirm my previously held opinions, which is gratifying. Thanks.

Think about that a bit when you decide to throw your fellow pilots under the bus.

I am trying to save their employer, so they will have jobs. I feel you are trying to throw my fellow pilots under the bus, not intentionally, but by the results of your actions.

My actions? I'm furloughed. I'm just giving you an education in how scope erosion works. You can lead a horse to water...

Sorry, I didn't mean your actions personally. I really hope you find a good gig, any ideas where you might end up?

The only thing that changed, in my opinion, is that the Union got them all stirred up over an inconsequential issue.

Just to pick one of the many issues that the company has sent our way, let's look at the 401K. The company unilaterally changed the plan and provider, despite a contractual requirement that any changes would have to be agreed by the union. How is screwing with my retirement fund, in direct violation of the contract, "inconsequential"?

What a shame. We have one of the best flying jobs in the world, and y'all are going to screw it up. Every time I think I have seen the depths of Union Stupidity Stampeding, something like this gets started.

No, you and your ilk are screwing it up if you give in on scope. Please, I implore you. Educate yourself (and the others in the minority view) on the RLA and our contract.

It is boring reading, I know, but our collective future depends on an educated pilot force. As your posts have more than implied, you're far off the mark on being on target here.

With all due respect, negotiating away scope will not save your employer. If the situation is so dire that absent this concession our jobs go away, they were not long for this world anyway...

Furthermore, if you truly believe (as you have written in a previous post) that NetJets is one of the best jobs in the world, why would you not do everything you could to protect the things that make it so great?!

I am assuming that the pay, work rules, health insurance, retirement contributions, etc. that you enjoy are what make this one of the best aviation jobs out there? How long do you think that will last once EJM is competing for a more significant share of your flying? Most EJM pilots are making 50-75% of the pay (and nowhere near the work rules or other perks) that you enjoy so:

Why would management continue "overpaying" you if someone else will do it so much cheaper?

What would stop management from transferring an ever increasing amount of your flying to EJM if you piss away scope?

Ahh he's ex-charter, ex-corporate....He's used to getting b!tch slapped. Really, you're aviation history explains everything. (no offense to any one else with nothing but charter/corporate only backgrounds.) But hopefully for the rest of you, you're spinal matter hasn't creeped to your brain and ruined your cognitive thought process like G4.

I sure am glad your ideas are shared by maybe 2% of the rest of the general aviation world.

I still think he's mgmt. Probably S.E.

The previous administrator changed things, limiting our investment choices. That's is why the change was made to Schwab.
