And don't forget Bill Gates (Owner since 1996)
and don't froget Tiger Woods (Owner since 2001), The Governator, and many more I am not allowed to list. . .

Right, we don't fly the richest in the world . . . depends upon your way of looking at things.

I thought NJ had a confidentiality. Did you just violate it with your pompousness?

Yes, there is a confidentiality agreement and we are expected to keep pax names a secret. However, we are allowed to mention names of those who already have made it publicly known that they use Netjets (like in our public advertisements). The above three names meet that criteria. No violation has occurred.

Sorry.

Thanks - you beat me to my own defense! Those names were selected carefully. I would not ever name our passengers without prior permission. Kind of a Professional thing.

The latest I have heard on the road is that not only are they only hiring into 8 "super" bases but effective June 1st all current employees will be locked into their current base and can only move into one of these 8 bases.

Also a new duty day policy limiting the planned duty day to 12.5 hours and 14 hours as an absolute max will supposedly be instituted soon.

One Step Forward.. 3 Steps Back....

You pick a hooker based on her zip code but not a pilot.......

Well officially company memo issued yesterday. CS if focusing it's hiring into the 8 primary bases listed on the website. NO employees will be restricted from moving and there will be NO reduction of pilot bases.
Also holiday pay in the works and system for bidding schedules and start days, all should be in place by the close of summer. Not many new-hires expected this year and they acknowledged more than an abundant supply of applications on file. (Probably standard this year, I see our brothers in CMH are also becoming very picky these days) No official word yet on the new duty day policy but it appears that every asst chief pilot has seen it and expects implementation very shortly. Now I will complete my flightinfo CS good post checklist:

1) Thank NJ & 1108 - check
2) Be upset that our pilot group will have no say in new schedule implementation - check (will be bid on however and the new base policy went out of the window because we were pissed off)
3) Be reminded by someone else to thank NJ - check
4) Temporarily move a post about CS back to the front page - check

In all seriousness this is another positive in the fractional world for all pilots. In the major threads all I read about seems to be for the most part gloom and doom while everything in the fractional forum seems to be revolved around progression, expansion, and items that increase QOL for flight crew-members. I hope that this good news for us also aids my flight options brother in their negotiations. Companies always want to look for the weakest contract or set of work rules and pay wages and use those to show how their poor offer is much better than that other company. (went through that at the regionals way too much, the mesa contract always seemed to come up at the bargaining table) By raising the industry standard in all aspects mgmt will have no choice but to acknowledge how far behind they have fallen. Hopefully it will also be very crystal clear to an arbitrator if it had to go that route. Good luck guys, I always check this board in anticipation of the long awaiting great news about your contract. Keep up the good fight.

Sky, congrats to you and your fellow pilots at CS...:) It's good to hear that your feedback to management is showing results. As you say, it's important for all the fractional pilotgroups to raise the bar together so that we're pulling up our frac families--not dragging each other down. Compensation and work rules should be very comparable so that pilot's are free to choose their employer based on personal preferences.

I firmly believe that the unity among fractional pilots has a lot to do with the advancements being made. That unity includes camaraderie not just among the pilots of one company, but also between the fractional companies. When the pilots in the industry stay in tune with what is happening regarding their peers they can more effectively lobby their own management for improvements. Kudos to the CS pilots for speaking up and to the Options pilots for standing firm in their justified demand for a fair contract. NJW

INDUSTRY STANDARDS SHOULD BE APPLIED AT ALL FRACTIONAL COMPANIES

Life on the Bravo fleet...

Slightly off topic question, but what is life like on the Bravo fleet? I ran into a pilot in Florida last week who had just started on the Bravo fleet and we had a short conversation and I didn't learn much about life on that fleet. I understand that it is shrinking while other fleets are growing (like the CJ3 and Sovereign).

So, do Bravo pilots fly a lot? Is it a nice airplane to fly? Do they tend to stay regional due to range limitations?

Well, i was a fence sitter on the union thing, but this just pushed me over the edge.

Good to hear. There is much open to their whimsical thinking. If the new schedules don't work out they will just put everybody back on 7 and 7 and wont give a crap how it affects people's plans or QOL.

Oh and for the Bravo Fleet Question. In fracs the smaller the plane the less you fly because you can only cover for your fleet and down. you will still fly 2-5 legs a day in the bravo and will be all over the place regardless of fleet you just wont do as many popups or recoveries.

Am I understanding this correctly? CS is proposing schedules that start and stop on weekend days no matter what? The junior guys are going to be stuck working atleast half a weekend, all the time? That is when your kids have their baseball games, hockey games, football games, dance recitals, ect..

Skylawyer or others that work at CS, can you comment on this please? Thank you.
