I never took the Marta, took a cab, expensed it and never heard a word about it. Sorry, after my first and only MARTA experience, public trans was out.

If the old 1108 is so great, why are they trying to vote them off the property?

Nothing wrong with 1108, just the "parent company". No return on investment. So one of the groups in 1108 are going it alone to get a better return on the MILLIONS we were sending to the IBT.
Very simple.

I have heard the return on investment argument from several people in the FBO's. Makes perfect sense to me.

Is there an idea of when this announcement may be made from CitationShares? This is certain to reduce the number of applicants. I was hoping CS would open the bases to match the basing policy of NJ. I would love the opportunity to live where I would like.

Pilot recruitment is reporting 8 applicants for the upcoming interviews. Chances are they will find 8 people per month to live in the 8 bases.
Good Luck everyone.

Many of these rich people are lefty enviro-types that would be impressed that you took mass transit.

I take MARTA between PDK and ATL simply for the efficiency - it's cheaper and faster, and frankly rail travel is safer than automotive. But even more so, the traffic going through downtown ATL is usually miserable.

But to each his/her own!

....I left my hotel and visited your informal picketing line years ago to show my support. ......

Thank you! I think it's very important for the frac pilots and families to support one another and build camaraderie. Raising the bar helps all of us and I value all the progress made where ever it comes from. Best Wishes to the CS pilots and their families. NJW

I think he thought that you actually WORKED there.

I don't think he realizes you don't work at NJ and have nothing to do with NJ or the industry.

You should set the record straight, rather than take credit for his error.

A fractional is not a frac

A fraternity is not a frat
A country is not a

Just a pet peeve of mine.

I'm confused. :erm:

The richest people in the world own airplanes - not fractional shares.

And don't forget Bill Gates (Owner since 1996)
and don't froget Tiger Woods (Owner since 2001), The Governator, and many more I am not allowed to list. . .

Right, we don't fly the richest in the world . . . depends upon your way of looking at things.

I thought NJ had a confidentiality. Did you just violate it with your pompousness?

Yes, there is a confidentiality agreement and we are expected to keep pax names a secret. However, we are allowed to mention names of those who already have made it publicly known that they use Netjets (like in our public advertisements). The above three names meet that criteria. No violation has occurred.

Sorry.

Thanks - you beat me to my own defense! Those names were selected carefully. I would not ever name our passengers without prior permission. Kind of a Professional thing.

The latest I have heard on the road is that not only are they only hiring into 8 "super" bases but effective June 1st all current employees will be locked into their current base and can only move into one of these 8 bases.

Also a new duty day policy limiting the planned duty day to 12.5 hours and 14 hours as an absolute max will supposedly be instituted soon.

One Step Forward.. 3 Steps Back....

You pick a hooker based on her zip code but not a pilot.......

Well officially company memo issued yesterday. CS if focusing it's hiring into the 8 primary bases listed on the website. NO employees will be restricted from moving and there will be NO reduction of pilot bases.
Also holiday pay in the works and system for bidding schedules and start days, all should be in place by the close of summer. Not many new-hires expected this year and they acknowledged more than an abundant supply of applications on file. (Probably standard this year, I see our brothers in CMH are also becoming very picky these days) No official word yet on the new duty day policy but it appears that every asst chief pilot has seen it and expects implementation very shortly. Now I will complete my flightinfo CS good post checklist:

1) Thank NJ & 1108 - check
2) Be upset that our pilot group will have no say in new schedule implementation - check (will be bid on however and the new base policy went out of the window because we were pissed off)
3) Be reminded by someone else to thank NJ - check
4) Temporarily move a post about CS back to the front page - check

In all seriousness this is another positive in the fractional world for all pilots. In the major threads all I read about seems to be for the most part gloom and doom while everything in the fractional forum seems to be revolved around progression, expansion, and items that increase QOL for flight crew-members. I hope that this good news for us also aids my flight options brother in their negotiations. Companies always want to look for the weakest contract or set of work rules and pay wages and use those to show how their poor offer is much better than that other company. (went through that at the regionals way too much, the mesa contract always seemed to come up at the bargaining table) By raising the industry standard in all aspects mgmt will have no choice but to acknowledge how far behind they have fallen. Hopefully it will also be very crystal clear to an arbitrator if it had to go that route. Good luck guys, I always check this board in anticipation of the long awaiting great news about your contract. Keep up the good fight.
