h25b- professional banter here so relax

We operate light jets and start F.O.'s at 50K... If we had Falcons or Citation X's I can tell you it would be significantly more... I know Wal-Mart starts 31A f.o.'s at 43K and they get bumped up to 50K at their 1 yr. anniversary..

You don't have falcons you have light jets. Who knows what you're company is going to pay.

Walmart works too hard. I'm actually on the verge of running out of currency right now due to bidding and vacation.

This is a nice bump right now but like I said i want to see the whole package and if this place is going to be a long term place.

flow through? what are we the regional and you're the major?

honestly i don't know. I'm wanting to read the whole package and look long and hard to see if this is a long term place.

I'm relaxed... Just disappointed for the junior guys (I know a couple and they were hoping for better) and future new-hires...

Your lifestyle sounds great, what about the new guys ??? I doubt they work as little..

By the way, when are you going to get in to GSO or INT ??? Barley pop's on me !!! :D

It's weird in the ultra i was there all the time. Haven't been there in the X at all....

I wonder where familyguy is??????????hmmmmmmmmm

Right here, reading the posts as always Diesel.

I am saddened to see that even as we have taken a step towards bridging the differences and putting this ugly episode behind us that you continue to engage in personal attacks. This from the person that wants to remind h25b about 'professional banter'? I would expect better from a professional.

This is the the time when we should all be pulling back together and focusing on returning to delivering the service levels that our owners have come to expect from us over the years, instead of continuing the attacks on each other.

I hope that this TA will be acceptable to both sides. It's important that the pilots feel that they are being compensated appropriately for their contributions and the company needs to be able to afford the compensation levels so that it can continue to be a good, long-term, and stable option for people that are looking to make a living and provide for their families.

Diesel - contrary to your earlier post, I am not going anywhere. I've been here at NetJets for years, and look forward to many years to come. Come on back if you want some more friendly, 'professional' banter. I'm happy to give some counter points to your unfortunately biased point of view. Hopefully you can learn something from my posts and develop a more balanced viewpoint in the future.

Hawkered - thank you for your respectful reply and kind comments. I take the time to read the boards and post here because this company is important to me. There are a lot of us here in the flight center that care deeply about this company and we are very hopeful that this TA will meet the pilots expectations.

FamilyGuy...you are the pot, calling the kettle, "black". I am new here but I have seen plenty of your posts on this forum to think "wow that wasn't nice". I am willing to bet that you are probably much nicer in person...when you are not the "man behind the curtain".

Having said that...I would like to congradulate the pilots...and NetJets on a potential resolution. With any agreement...you can please most, but not everyone is going to be happy. Eagarly waiting to hear more details and how it all unfolds...

Congrats guys! I just hope that we can all get back to doing what we love to do. I have always said that you guys (and gals) deserve more. See ya all on the line.

good job to all involved. And to those who want more than this TA offers- remember this is not the LAST TA- it is the Next TA - it offers more than the current contract- lets move forward.

You have done a good job of negotiating and bringing it to a close-
lets get it passed, move forward and work to make sure this never happens again-

Wow....the fracs forum is going to suck now. No more mean posts and arguing??? This forum will be so dull. :) :)

Congrats, guys. Now you can get back to living a relatively normal life. Normal for pilots, that is...TC

FIDO,

Don't sweat it brother. NJI WILL REMAIN A SEPARATE COMPANY. A small number of NJA pilots will be given the opportunity for TEMPORARY assignment to the Gulfstream fleet under NJI pay AND work rules.

This assumes, of course, that the TA is ratified by the membership.

Moderator and Diesel: The truth of the matter is; its not surprising that there is a sudden release of pent up frustration and Diesel should respond in the manner he did. It's not responsible, it's reprehensible considering that both sides even bothered to work until 1:00 am on his behalf.

Sadly, we live in a society that uses riots after NBA victories as sociological studies rather than penalizes those that perpetrate a crime.

Moderator I congratulate you on taking the high road on this matter and look forward to you doing the same in the future. I find references that discriminate or harrass those based on religion, race, age, national origin or sexual orientation as inexcusable here as it is in the workplace.

Diesel, as a veteran of this industry let me tell you that you better start looking at ways to change and change quickly. Whenever the dust settles from something like this, management looks for ways to put out the trash!

Ya too quiet. Heres an informed rumor for you concerning NJI and scope: All future Gulfstream deliveries will go to NJA.

I am not making this up but also can not say its true for certain.

Yeah just a rumor... but an informed rumor from a person who is more likely than the average line pilot to know the specifics at this early juncture.

I'm a wait and see type. Just because the TA has been put on the table does not make it approved. Once these guys are getting what they deserve, I will believe it. Personally, I wonder how long the "trickle down" will take for the other outfits. Off to "work"...................

Boo Hoo,
Poor Hawkered...I'm willing to bet that you haven't worked at NJA. You sound like a cry baby. I'll also willing to bet that you were a naysayer against our Union.
Dust settles?? What makes you think that it'll settle. Will management all of a sudden cease using deceptive and dishonest practices when dealing with pilots and the new CBA? Will they try to navigate around the "intent" of language of the new CBA and operate in a "grey" area??? We shall see. I have my opinion... Diesel is not the trash. The trash resides elsewhere.

I can say that today in PBI that the NJI guys where asking for details! They may even be a little jealous. One told me that this would be about the same as they make for a year 4 captain at NJI, which was around 90k.

Now I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade here but these pay numbers don't seem all that good to me. I realize that its an improvement and that probably no one EXPECTED to get 100% of NBAA rates but it still seems low to me. Especially since the old CBA is 4 years out of date. In any case, if this is ratified by your membership then congrats.
Any of you NJA guys care to do a side by side comparison of the CBA and the TA, based on the above post.

The comparison will be done by the Union. They will compare the current CBA, the TA that was voted down and the new TA.
I agree that the numbers are not extraordinary. However, in my case it amounts to a 50% raise. I will be making over six figures when all pay including OT, per diem etc is figured. So compared to now, that is good. Scope is very important too. If our jobs are protected, it is worth a lot. Am I ecstatic?? No. Am I happy that it's over and I can make a respectable and decent living while also having the free time to make money in another business? Yes.

Just sticking to yr 1 and 5 comparison for fo and pic on normal schedule:

Current

yr 1 fo: 27108

yr 5 fo: 32160
---------------
Proposed

yr 1 fo: 39000

yr 5 fo: 47405
----------------
Current

yr 1 pic: 37560

yr 5 pic: 60984

yr 5 pic: 90000
