There is a huge fundamental difference between providing peace, and protection from "fire" and overly taxing less than 5% of the population to pay for the rest who pay little or none. Where does the entitlment come from? You are given the right to the pursuit of happiness, not the right to have my hard earned $$ handed to you because you wern't motivated to get an education and find a job.

Public services have nothing to do with redistribution of wealth and socialism.
Govt run banks, and medical care does.

There is a spectrum of economic models from Capitalism to Communism. The ones near capitalism have worked much better than the ones on the other side.
