Once again.....what a thread same ******************** different day....man I'm glad I got in before you had to waste 10 bucks on this site.
I think the same thing everytime i log on.....

I wonder if this is a bit of obtuse pressure on the Mesa pilots to "play ball" with the purported tentative "TA"?

As furloughs go, this is fairly mild. For all those reveling in Mesa's troubles, I suggest you grow up, and realize that in this environment, NO job is safe, and Mesa tends to thrive when other carriers are looking to lower costs . . .

He is probably talking about how Southwest used to be the lowest paid in the industry. For many folks back in the day Southwest was the choice after you got turned down by every other major airline.

I remember many of the US Airways (along with other airlines) folks bad mouthing SouthWest. Southwest contract sucks, Lowest paid 737 drivers, they have no retirement. You gotta pay for a Type rating to work there.

"You like apples?" We'll now a Captain on a 737 at Southwest makes more then a Captain on the Airbus 330 at US Airways. "How you like dem Apples!"

Like someone said, "Karma's a bitch"

Come on, while SWA has nothing to do with this this top while were're at it, everyone knows SWA has robbed everyone dry. If you listen to the managements speeches or even if you read that book NUTS! they act like they're the greatest gift to aviation. They single handedly turned this industry into Greyhound flying, not ALL should be flying. I'm not sure we should all be happy that they're the highest paid after 30 years of undermining everyone else. Just jump onto any AA, UA, US cockpit and you'll see.

I'm positive that if you ger furloughed from your present carrier and Mesa is hiring for the jet spot, you'd be the FIRST to send in an application.

"jet spot"? not everyone has SJS like you, junior. grow a pair.

Maybe someday, you'll realize that nobody is impressed with your FADECs.

SouthWest did'nt do it! It was called the "Airline Deregulation Act" that caused it.

Isn't it always better if no company is furloughing? I'm confused this section of the board seems to feed off pointing the finger and saying haha you're furloughing. Well it trickles through to all of us. Lessens our career advancement, hurts families, financial obligations, etc.

I can only wish that our collective pea sized pilot brains would shift anger to airline managements. They're supposedly paid and educated to forsee market and industry conditions. They suck at it and just provide knee jerk, late game decisions. I think my dog's steeming pile in the yard could run an airline these days and do better.
