Companies have to maximize their short term profits to look good for their shareholders and other lenders. Management will cut jobs, benefits, pensions or whatever will make their bottom line look better in the short term. Unfortunately when they do this, employees are treated like any other liability the company has.

It was ALOT. I hope last week is an eye opener that we need to recall some people.

I always wonder how (if at all) management puts a value on how charter affects the owners on a personal basis. In other words, what does it cost us from a service perspective when we have to charter? You can't put a price on it really, but these folks pay a lot of money to fly on Flexjet (in this case) aircraft, and while some charter is a fact of life in this business if you run too far with it in the name of saving money you risk alienating the owners who are paying top dollar to ride on "their" planes. Hopefully our airline managers are smart enough to have figured out how to find the right balance.

We had to charter because we don't have enough planes, nothing to do with crews. And they certainly are not going to buy extra planes to cover one weekend a year

A couple of years ago, I heard Flexjet was getting the first seven.

Something to look forward to...three years from now.

And that assumes it's on time, we've seen how the 787 turned out.

And we're not actually getting the first 7, I think we're getting the first 3 and then the next 4 of 10 or something along those lines so it'll be around a year before we see all 7 on property.
