Can't think of any reasonable person who wants to move his faimly to a place where you have to be indoors for at least 6 months a year, otherwise you are risking frost bite, or, better yet, a city with one of the highest crime rates in the country.

As one example if the most Jr F.O.'s in MEM first filled up the DC9 then from there the next more senior went to the A320 why is the jr DC9 guy one number off the jr A320 guy? /quote]
I don't believe there are any assumptions. This list shows the new seniority number for the most junior person in each seat. What it does not say is if NWA seats are reserve or line holder. I guess that is most junior reserve guy now.

Another thing, How is it that a guy who is currently 25 from the bottom on the MD in SLC now shows eight hundred seniority numbers above the bottom MD guy....this is impossible since the majority of NWA guys coming onboard are senior to him. I really dont think this list is accurate and certainly does not seem to factor what is certain to remain higher senority bases such as SLC and LAX. SEA shows up plenty senior though. For all intents and purposes a FDAL guy might as well forget that is even a base. The most jr guy on the A330 there goes more senior than 777 captain anywhere in the FDAL system.
Once airplanes start to move bases this list becomes even less reliable.

OK this makes sense. So it has no forward looking ability. Just where people are now and about to radically change.
If we're talking base comparisons, NWA doesn't have a leg to stand on. Everyone in this industry knows that NWA and CO have the worst bases of the legacies. This is common knowledge and if you try and dispute this, you are either from MSP or DTW, or you are just B.S.ing yourself. Sorry...
You have 3 freezing cold Northern bases, a small senior rain filled base, and Memphis for God's sake.

Care to elaborate on that statement? Are you suggesting there will be some sort of retribution exacted if FNWA pilots exercise their contractual seniority to bid on an AE?
As a DAL newbie I can understand your frustration at the thought of all those more senior pilots bidding on top of you, however as others have mentioned getting hired into the 76ER was an aberration, not the norm, and you best recognize it as such and deal with it.
Let me give you a piece of friendly advice - for your own career advancement I would very strongly suggest you refrain from veiled threats towards FNWA pre-merger pilots regardless of how you feel about the SLI.
Can some more seasoned DAL types please take jetjockey behind the wood-shed for some "counseling" for his own good?
I agree with the General. When they move the 88's and ER out of ATL it will be Pre-merger DAL guys that will down bid to work where they live that displace the bottom 300-400 from ATL.
I want to get to Memphis on the 9. Any of those guys want out, into something else?
