It is not uncommon for the Emails to go out on Friday and on Monday.

:)

I appreciate the good words! I guess I'm one of the few who didn't get an e-mail "yet" but thats ok. I'll happily try again in 6 months. Still have a little hope as long as the letter doesn't come but, I'm a realist and more importantly, employed. Nevertheless I will still try to get on until I get there. Interviewing there was interviewing for my last job as far as I'm concerned...... Congratulations you guys!!! Excellent Job!!

The official numbers are 107 of 161 were passed into Phase 2.

Guam,
Potentially, some might be offered class dates in mid October. The E-190 classes are full for Oct, but that could change as the dynamics of the pilot's needs change.

Happy landings.

thanks jointops!

Irish, good luck, something good will happen to you soon, if not this, something better for you.

easy to say, but well, hang in there.

guam

Congrats Manny, hopefully the background checks won't take as long as usual. I hear they are really behind the 8 ball for crews right now.

how long for the background checks?????????

I personaly like the 320 for FLL base.

The 190's deliveries have been put on hold for a little bit because Embraer screwed up the configuration or something like that. So it is my assumption hat f you go for the A320 you will get a class a little quicker. If you go for the EMB190, you will get the upgrade quick. Seniority vs. upgrade, your choice.

Irish:

You're not alone in the group with no email yet....still waiting myself, but after no emails today, really starting to wonder. As some other people have posted, I have heard through my friends at JetBlue that they had to wait over "2" days to get their emails, and one guy never even got an email, although he passed phase 1. All that being said, not too confident right now about my chances. Someone else that I interviewed with is still waiting too. Maybe we are just part of the 50 or so who did not make it, if that gouge is correct.

Best of luck to everyone, no matter what happens, will keep plugging away.

Jointops,

Nice to see you again on the boards. Always nice to hear your perspective...

Good luck to all...

Trying to get a handle on what total compensation for a notional second year FO might be who flies an average line. The 1 1/2 pay rate above 70 or 75 hours makes it a bit harder than extrapolating the hourly rate out. Do the trips tend to be 3 or 4 days? What is the reserve callout times? Any other info appreciated.
Sorry if these are basic questions. Just started to give JB serious thought and this is part of the initial information gathering phase.
6000TT, 4000Turb, 1200 TPIC. All civ. Don't know anyone at JB. Those numbers realistic or do I have a ways to go?
At work, no accesss to a spell checker for you pedantic types.

Hey Albie,

I never left. However, unless I can add additional, positive input to a thread, I don't engage. Too much flak flying around on these forums. Many more people are more eloquent and certainly more intelligent than I.

But thanks for thinking of me. I always keep track of your posts.

Happy landings.

I had some gouge from Air Inc. They were all "Tell me about a time" type questions from previous interviews. When I got to NY, I found out that Mr. Melonas had changed all the questions because the previous interviewers' answers seemed rehursed. But it was a good practice.

For those of you that interviewed 20th/21st of September and moved to phase 2, has any of your references been contacted yet? any other signs of progress? any news?, I'm anxiously waiting......

Nope. Not yet. The email mentioned that we would get infomation about the aircraft decision this week. Anyone got that?

Have not heard if any references have been called and still waiting for the packet about aircraft picks. Does anyone know at what point during the background check JB will call your current employer?

Yep, furloughed AA from Oct 2001, nice to be back in the 121 world again after 4 years.

Just finished reading some threads on JetBlue on C&R today for the first time in forever. Now that you are hired at B6, don't expect to welcomed with open arms there. You have now become public enemy number one and you are now a member of one of the most "arrogant" pilot groups (JetBlue, that is)
Seems to be a fair amount of disdain for JetBlue on that website.

Let's see, I am now considered public enemy number one at AA. I wonder why? They've done so much for me:
1. 9 days notice of furlough vs. 30 days required by contract
2. No furlough pay-oh well, I was only there 3 months, I wasn't expecting much.
3. NO jumpseat privileges
4. NO travel privileges
5. Lots of "I got mine, let them get theirs" attitudes on their website.

Honestly, I enjoyed my time at AA, short as it was, but, I have to provide for my family, and if I am going to be held in contempt, so be it. I wan't expecting to be recalled back there anytime soon.

Is C&R an AA website/forum or something?

This is cool not only are we number one with customers, but another pilot group thinks we are as cool as John Dillinger. Awsome.

Mannyaplus11, welcome! As I am sure you will welcome your AA counterparts to your newly named arrogant js! C&R stands for "cry and rant" I guess..? I hear B6 is also the reason for global warming.

C'mon, get with the program. Sure it sucks being furloughed with a family. But you are supposed to find a job that is suitable to the AA guys that aren't furloughed. You know, for the good of the profession. SUCK IT UP! (sarcasm)
