Hockeypilot,

The new Plan is 2600 deductible for family, plus 20% coinsurance to $7000.

Worst case, you are looking at $9600 out of pocket.

ER visit is no longer $150, it's now deductible+20% up to $7000.

not our posts but DAL Gold HRA which most pilots have is max out of pocket of 6000 family , period, yes deductable + 20% but why do you guys keep excluding deductable from the max. Yes you must meet deductable before 80/20 but after that the max includes the deductable amount, hence max out of pocket is the max period.

Either way thank god our insurance wasn't thrown out like these poor suckers. Good luck guys. Sometimes being ALPA sucks but sometimes it is nice.

That's not true with ours, unfortunately.

You have to check the wording, carefully.

It's NOT "out-of-pocket max". It's "max coinsurance", which means you pay a maximum of $7,000 bucks coinsurance, ON TOP OF the $2,600 deductible.

The devil is in the details, and it's just Barger and company squeezing more money out of your pocket. Remember, JetBlue is self insured. They are interested in only one thing: keeping their costs down as much as they can.

JC your right. I just read that. That's a bunch of crap. Maybe the the traditional DPMP is better for a big family.
