Already Done On December 29, 2011, Spirit Airlines, Inc. entered into Amendment No. 11 to the Airbus A320 Family Purchase Agreement, by and between the Company and Airbus S.A.S. (legal successor to AVSA S.A.R.L.) dated as of May 5, 2004, and eight separate letter agreements related thereto . The Airbus Amendment represents the definitive agreement memorializing the Memorandum of Understanding, previously announced on November 15, 2011, for an order of 75 A320 family aircraft consisting of 30 of the existing aircraft model and 45 A320 NEO (New Engine Option) aircraft. These aircraft are scheduled for delivery from 2016 through 2021 and are in addition to the 31 aircraft scheduled to be delivered under the Company's existing order from 2012 through 2015.

why hasnt spirit made the aircraft orders public then. you would think it would be on their web page?

The guys in the training dept are saying we will be hiring 350 in 2012 at JB.

Being at the bottom of the B6 list I want us to grow more than anyone. However we are getting 11 aircraft in 2012. At 13.8-14 pilots per plane that equals around 154 pilots needed. Ill give ya 30 pilots in attrition/retirement etc. and I would say 180-200 pilots tops in 2012.

Obviously just guessing here, but I would say 200 new hires will be a pretty close number.

Just finished recurrent on Friday....

68 new hires 1Q-3Q
20ish 4Q
88 total 2012

Not including attrition....we lost 30 last year. There are 140ish in the pool so I don't expect any interviews this year.

So with attrition....MAYBE we'll hire 100 this year.

Don't forget we deal a lot of aircraft off the bottom of the list here at bluejet.

I'm at jetblue and I like it but honestly I just don't see the growth happening here. If your here already great but if your at the bottom be ready for years and years of reserve. If you live in NYC by all means come over.
